Galaxy star nets two in draw, earns second award in '08 - Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder David Beckham was voted Major League Soccer's Player of the Week for Week 6 of the 2008 season. Saturday, Beckham led the Galaxy back from a two goal deficit on the road against Real Salt Lake. His performance helped the Galaxy stay within one point of the top of the Western Conference.

David Beckham's official website reports on the Galaxy's first post-season friendly, visiting the Vancouver Whitecaps, with nearly 50,000 on hand in Canada. Vancouver is yet another city hungry - and probably ready - for a Major League Soccer team. The Whitecaps are recent USL frist division champs, just like the new MLS Seattle Sounders (who won the USL division 1 title this year).
