Longtime New York Giants radio broadcaster and former defensive back for the team Dick Lynch died today at age 72 after a long illness. Lynch had been a radio analyst since 1967. Lynch’s style was one of unabashed love of Big Blue and it came through joyously game after game.
He lost a son Richard, 31, in the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center. Richard Lynch worked on the 84th floor of Two World Trade Center.
Lynch scored one of the most storied touchdowns in Notre Dame history. His 3-yard run in 1957 gave the Irish a 7-0 victory that ended Oklahoma’s 47-game winning streak. The ...
