I missed the Daytona, although Gabby and Melissa enjoyed the Aquarium.  The dunk contest was one in a million, though. I enjoyed it totally, as did the worn-out Gabby and Lissa (who conked out on the couch halfway thru). Now... I realize that two articles in one weekend about guys jumping up and down may be a lot to ask of my readers, but this was a whole bunch of fun. I hate to be the buzz kill because everyone’s stoked about how the dunk contest played out last night, but I can’t get this bad taste out of my mouth. It’s driving me nuts that everyone is congratulating Dwight Howard on winning the dunk contest when the real winner should have been Jamario Moon. In fact, I’m still steamed that Moon didn’t make it to the finals and Gerald Green stole his place but that’s a whole other rant I won’t get into right now. Everyone is loving the Superman Dunk but it’s nothing compared to Moon’s final dunk. Some will argue that Moon didn’t take off from beyond the tape marking, but Dwight didn’t take ...

Just kidding. I won't get too into it again, but I think the evidence that the dunk contest is alive and thriving is pretty clear. I'd like to think this would quiet all the odd All Star Hate, but I'm not sure anything will. I wouldn't be surprised to hear them couch this as an anomaly. At least All Star Hating got a little harder.
