Pens - Rangers Storylines
Published 4/25/2008 by tecmo at Pittsburgh Sports and Mini Ponies
Watch every one of these videos. Don't worry. I'll wait. They're short. ... ... Done? Cool. For as little attention as the NHL playoffs seem to get, the promotional videos for the playoffs on Versus are top notch. Now, I'd like to share some storylines for tonight's series-opening game, coming straight from a National Hockey League press release that I was recently emailed (their words, not mine): - YOU Again!: Penguins GM Ray Shero just might have been thinking about this match-up on Feb. 26 when he obtained 6-foot-7, 250-pound Hal Gill from the Toronto Maple Leafs for a second-round pick in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft and a fifth-round selection in ...

GM Theories
Published 4/27/2008 by Corey Johnson at Hockey Leaks
Pittsburgh is currently up 1-0 after 2, the game is on CBC in Canada and NBC in the states. Tonight, TSN will have Dallas / San Jose and I believe Versus will have it for our US fans. Knee or No Knee...

That is the question being raised following game one of the Montreal/Philadelphia series. With the score at 3-2 Philadelphia late in the third period, the Flyers Mike Richards was called for what some are saying (mostly distraught Flyers fans) was a "questionable" kneeing call. Here are some pictures to state each side's case. From this angle it looks as if the shoulder of Richards is laying...

Sharks vs. Stars - Game 1 Preview: Sharks prepared to shoot the Stars!

I am going to make this short and sweet! Both hockey teams come into this series on a high note. The Sharks were able to stave off elimination and kill off their playoff demons against a physical and tenacious hockey team in the Calgary Flames. The Stars just eliminated the Stanley Cup champion Anaheim Ducks. While I do give them credit and respect for that accomplishment, Anaheim is not the ...
