Is he or isn’t he? Miguel Guante was invited to play with Puerto Rico’s national team for their June 4 World Cup Qualifier against Honduras, but from what I can tell (and please correct me if my lousy Spanish skills are failing me here) he has decided not to participate. Considering the stretch of play ahead for the Timbers the next two weeks and the injuries to Lawrence Olum and Benjamin Totori, I’m glad Guante has apparently passed on the opportunity to represent Puerto Rico.
