I usually enjoy when networks mic up a player and we get to hear the "dialogue" the happens on the court or field, but they never seem to wire the guys we'd most like to drop in on. Say, Rasheed Wallace for instance. Ever wondered how 'Sheed tries to charm the officials? This may be surprising, but he's actually not that charming. "I ain't scared of y'all!" Notice how amused the Timberwolves' Ryan Gomes is by the conversation with referee Jim Clark. Dear ABC, all 'Sheed, all the time during the playoffs. Please.

[Box score] With this win the Pistons clinch home court advantage in the NBA Finals should they just happen to find themselves there. Flip Saunders continued to give his starters sparse minutes to stay sharp and then letting the bench fill in the rest. The basketball video site Odenized has this clip of Rasheed Wallace working over referee Jim Clark, where ‘Sheed wants Jim, or Ryan Gomes , or both, to know he’s not afraid of anybody. If you want more ‘Sheed trash talk, a quick YouTube search brings up the following news clip from last season documenting Rasheed’s torture of his own teammates and opponents. Apparently anything goes except for family members.

For some, the winter holidays are their favorite time of year. For me, it's the post-season. The Play-offs officially kicked off today with a Cavs win over the Wizards. Agent 0 single handedly lost the game for them, IMO. It's half-time between the Spurs & Suns and I expect a comeback by the Spurs in the second half.
