Juninho Pernambucano Bends Home Number 36 By: Daryl | January 13th, 2008 One was in France, the other in Greece, but slightly long-in-the-tooth Brazilian midfielders Juninho Pernambucano and Rivaldo both bent home memorable free kicks yesterday. Juninho’s (above) came in Lyon’s 3-2 win over Toulouse and is apparently the 36th time the 32 year old has stepped up and sent a dead ball past a wall and a keeper in Ligue 1. Rivaldo is now 35 and probably can’t remember how many time he’s done it, but the former Barcelona man fired home a fantastic free kick (below) for AEK Athens in their 5-1 win over Veria. ...
