Video: Ron Artest’s latest music video, Afghan Women
The Lakers Nation —
In our struggling effort of trying to cover Ron Artest, we bring you his latest music video and song. Lyrics sounds like it’s coming from a good place. Basically reflects the struggles of woman in Afghanistan — and it showcases some rather graphic images.
Warning: Video may contain uncomfortable and graphic images.

SP Sneak Preview: Ron Artest’s SNL Digital Short
Style Points —
Here at Style Points, we have a great affinity for Ron Artest. Hell, after doing the heavy lifting on the Real_Ron_Artest fake twitter account, Business_Socks is currently hiding under the trampoline in Artest’s back yard trying to accumulate enough time for a common law marriage. Needless to say, we were thrilled to see what must be a sneak preview of an SNL Digital Short: Ron Artest’s music video for “Afghan Women.”
Wait, what? you’re telling me this isn’t a parody? This is a sincere music video by Artest? Holy shit, this is great. Leave ...
Ron Artest's latest: Afghan Women
Deceptively Quick —
The jokes are easy. I'm sure we'll see plenty. But this latest video from Artest is a little more than that. The man is trying to make a positive difference in the World, albeit in his unique way. Honestly, its hard to clown a guy thats more active in that department than I am. ...
Afghan Women Music Video, Ron Artest “Make Fun Of This Blogger Boy!”
NESW Sports, Sports Videos —
Afghan Women Music Video, Ron Artest “Make Fun Of This Blogger Boy!”. After trying my hardest to find any and every angle to make fun of Ron Artest’s music career, he went and made this video. You just can’t make fun of it.
It is basically his very own Sally Fields commercial for the Afghan Women. He saw how much hurt and pain they were going through, and wanted to make a song about it. It is actually pretty cool of him.
BTW, while he is not making thoughtful political rap videos, he is getting his hair did for ring night. ...
Ron Artest wants a "Afghan Girl"
That NBA Lottery Pick —
Recently on That NBA Lottery Pick, we presented a video by Ron Artest called "Georgetown Girl." Well, that's not the only music video that Ron Artest has been working on recently. He has this new track called "Afghan Girl", and well, I think the video is pretty self-explanatory. Words cannot explain this video. (Courtesy of Style Points) ...

Ron Artest Blows My Mind
The Slanch Report —
When I think of Ron Artest, I don’t think compassionate social humanitarian, more often I think of his many misdeeds on and off the basketball court. So to counter that image, here is a totally bizarre and weird rap video from Ron Artest for the women of Afghanistan. There simply aren’t words to describe this. Also, don’t adjust your ...
Ron Is a World Citizen
Straight Bangin' —
Between this and "Michael, Michael," Ron is emerging as a lost member of Color Me Badd. Or maybe a basketball-playing Kid CuDi with a better voice and less vanity. The easy thing to do is call Ron insane, which he obviously is on some level. But I think there's something earnest and endearing about the manifestations of his curiosity and worldliness. Makes him less cartoonish despite nonetheless playing a role in a cartoon. ...
What do the Lakers have to do to be loved in L.A.? And, Dontcha just Love-Hate Baseball?
Shea Hey —
Shocking results of an LA Times poll asking its readers, "Which is your favorite sports team?" At last check, with more than 13,000 votes in, USC came in at #1. Which is frankly lame because a college team should not be the fave of the second biggest city in the country. A city should not pin its sporting hopes and dreams on the shoulders of a bunch of unpaid kids. The Angels came in at #2, which I guess is kind of cool. The Lakers, coming off an NBA title and fully reloaded to win again, came in at #3, barely fending off the Galaxy #4, and UCLA, #5. The oddly unpopular Dodgers come in next, in a virtual tie with the Kings. What gives with the ...
Irony Awards: Ron Artest Raps for Abused Women
There's Your Karma, Ripe As Peaches —
When the Taliban was temporarily stifled in 2001, a more egalitarian notion of women's rights took hold in Afghanistan. Women could walk around without burqas; they could vote; they could even escape abusive marriages by seeking refuge in women's shelters. But having rights didn't protect them from abuse. According to non-governmental agencies, nearly 90% of Afghan women have experienced domestic abuse. Since Afghanistan is a patriarchal society trapped in the stone age, these stats are really no surprise. What is surprising, however, is that Ron Artest has come to their defense. Yes, that Ron Artest. The mercurial ...
Introducing the Founding Class of The Perm Hall of Fame
Herm's Perm: Overpaid to Underperform —
From day one, we here of this establishment have publicized our appreciation for the creative, extravagant and gaudy hairstyles. If this wasn't apparent from the graphic at the top of your screen, you're either blind or subscribe to the conspiracy theory that Herm Edwards really does have a perm, but covers it up like a CIA assassination flub.
On behalf of the Perm family, Wilt, Bubb, 908, Canaan, CMello and, of course, Herm himself, we proudly announce that Ron Artest as the first inductee into the Perm Hall of Fame.
From his not-so-humble beginnings in Indiana (he had not yet discovered his ...
