Pierce will drop serious dime on the young fella in game 4.  Nothing like firing up the opposition.

    Bad move on Horford indeed.....

Al Horford Must Still Think He’s At Florida
Published 4/27/2008 by Drexl Spivey at Tirico Suave
I know he’s a rookie and this was at the end of a big upset, but this taunt from Al Horford, directed at Paul Pierce of all people, seems to be a little much, considering the Hawks finished 29 games behind the Celtics and are still down 2-1 in the series. Credit to Odenized ...

Why is Al Horford So Mad at Paul Pierce?
Published 4/27/2008 by Tom Ziller at FanHouse
Filed under: Celtics, Hawks, NBA Playoffs, NBA Videos, NBA Last Night, Boston, AtlantaVia Odenized, from the final minute of Atlanta's shocking win over Boston. Keep your eye out for the large man screaming at the fellow laying on the ground at about the 16-second mark. Al Horford is not normally considered a fire-branding red-ass, so the verbal explosion is a bit of a shock. Did Paul Pierce do something to upset Al? No, not really. Horford tells Sekou Smith of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution it was ...

Al Horford Will Regret This
Published 4/27/2008 by redsarmy at RedsArmy.com: The Voice Of Celtics Fans
I did hear that Paul Pierce had to be restrained after this little incident… which is probably a good thing.  That means Paul can play on Monday and turn Al into a poster.  Nuts on that Sundae Mr. Horford? Congratulations Atlanta… you’ve managed to turn your one shining moment into fodder ...

Relax Rook, Relax

Here is the video of the play that Aaron wrote about last night. The last thing I want to comment on before I go stew in my anger is Al Horford.  Rookie needs to get slapped up.  If you didn't watch the game, with just around a minute left Pierce was guarding Horford while Atlanta was just running down the clock.  I didn't see how it happened, but Pierce slipped (tripped?) and fell around the 3-point line.  Horford, now wide open, got the ball and knocked down the open jumper.  On his way back down the court, he began pointing and screaming at Pierce, who was rising to his feet.  First off, that ...

PAUL PIERCE AIN'T NEVER SCARED
Published 4/28/2008 by The Realests at THE REALESTS
No doubt, Al Horford taunting Paul Pierce was completely asinine. But did anyone catch P.P. throwing up the Piru gang sign afterward? Maybe it's just us. But if we'd gotten stabbed nine times, we wouldn't be flashing gang signs on national TV. Hey Paul, if you're a real gangster, why not run off the court after Game 4 screaming "Soooo Whooop!!!!!!!!!!"

Al Horford fucking with Paul Pierce, not a good idea

Al Horford taunted a fallen Paul Pierce during the final minute of a Hawks win over the Celtics on Saturday night. You can’t really call it a rookie mistake just yet because Paul Pierce hasn’t made him pay yet but I’m willing to bet money that he will. Tags: paul pierce, al horford, hawks, celtics

"Boston Sucks! Boston Sucks!"
Published 4/29/2008 by World's Tallest Jockey at The Legend of Cecilio Guante
How often do sports fans get to chant something as fun as "Boston Sucks, Boston Sucks!" in their sportsfan lives? For us folks in Phatlanta, it ain't very often. Granted, the Celtics are more than capable of destroying the Hawks over the course of the next two (and hopefully three) games. But when an 8 seed under .500 backdoors into the ...

Celtics vs. Hawks Thoughts
Published 4/30/2008 at ESPN.com - True Hoop - Blog
No Suspensions? So, nobody from either Atlanta or Boston will be suspended for Game 5, and that's a big problem for people in ... Phoenix. For instance, consider this email from TrueHoop reader Damien: HOW IN THE WORLD WERE THERE NO SUSPENSIONS??? I'm not a huge Suns fan, but if I was in Phoenix right now, I'd be rioting in the streets. The EXACT thing that Stern suspended the players for last season in the series against the Spurs now goes unpunished because it might hurt the Celtics chances of advancing to a possible Celtics / Lakers finals. To quote Stu Jackson from last season, "A ...

Thanks, A-Ho

If someone had just tuned into the game last night during the final few minutes, they'd have thought the Hawks had just knocked the Celtics out of the playoffs. Granted, it was a nice win for a team as young as the Hawks are, but the celebrating at the end was borderline ridiculous. On top of that, Al Horford proved his youth and inexperience by taunting Paul Pierce (and why there wasn't a technic

Is Paul Pierce Throwing Gang Signs?

At first I thought this was something harmless... until people saw this video and said in the comments that Paul Pierce threw a gang sign at Al Horford after the rookie's crazy, taunting outburst. My first inclination is to say no way.... but.... I don't really know about these things. Remember... I'm a blogger... I'm in my mom's basement. Please don't kill me.
