The NHL at their end of the season awards show presented Alexander Ovechkin with the Hart Trophy for being the leagues most valuable player. No surprise to me, my man crush on the the Great 8 aside, as Ovechkin had already has been awarded the Rocket Richard Trophy for most goals and the Art Ross Trophy for most points. The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation CBC presented the NHL Awards Show and as a first time viewer of the event it was enjoyable if not predictable.
