The Washington Capitals insured a playoff berth by beating the Florida Panthers 3-1 last night. And here I thought every NHL team goes to the playoffs. Anyway, Alexander Ovechkin will play some more this year which is important to hockey fans, he's pretty good: Americans haven't loved a Russian this much since Yakov Smirnoff. -KD
