During a news conference introducing him as the newest member of the Detroit Pistons yesterday, Allen Iverson spoke at length about how much he's willing to sacrifice to cap his storied NBA career with a championship. Yes, even practice. Hilarious stuff — it's always refreshing to see a superstar poke fun at himself — but I have to agree with Matt Watson: let's wait and see just how much A.I. is smiling after a few practices under Michael Curry's watch. That man is hardcore.

Allen Iverson was introduced to the Detroit media on Tuesday and spoke of how he will do anything Pistons head coach Michael Curry asks of him. That includes practice.
It's great to see AI poke a little fun at himself. The guy has grown up a lot since a few years back when his Philly exodus was a less-than-amicable breakup. Time will tell if this works, but it seems like the right move for all parties involved.

Allen Iverson is one of those polarizing athletes that aren't as bad as he worse critic says he is and definitely isn't as good as his greatest fan would tell you. I don't know if I should be laughing or shaking my head at the latest A.I. escapade.
When Iverson was traded to the Pistons he and Joe Dumars had a very humorous exchange about "Practice" (see above video). I am sure Dumars had no idea that two weeks later that we would be talking about practice specifically A.I. missing practice.
