Bowen turned around and saw Stat, then he raised his elbow and ran right into him. The problem is that Bowen thinks it is tough to play rough. I think Bowen is classless for kicking and elbowing and pushing people.

If you like the WWE go there, not the NBA.

I belive the Spurs were trying to get under the Suns' skin at this late point in the game. It was almost decided with 'a seemingly comfortable lead,' so Bowen tried to get Amare flustered. Unfortuneately for Bowen, Stoudemre called ample attention to this little cheap shot.

Bowen is as dirty as they come, but that's really not too bad. A lot of people try to give a little punishment when they get picked.

Aside from this play though, Bowen is the new Dennis Rodman in general. He get's under the other team's skin, makes them focus on him and throws them off their game. That's a valuable skill/tactic. Here's hoping we see Bowen and Stat wrestle their way up and down the court in the playoffs like Karl Malone and Rodman.

Good call--those Malone/Rodman battles alternated between intense and hilarious.

Here's hoping Amare Stoudemire breaks Bruce Bowen in two.

A Year Later, Bruce Bowen Is Still Taking Cheap Shots at Amare Stoudemire
Published 4/10/2008 by Brett Edwards at FanHouse
Filed under: Suns, Spurs, NBA Gossip, NBA Videos Some things never change. Almost a year after the Spurs did the Suns dirty in last season's playoffs, Bruce Bowen is at it again, this time delivering an unnecessary forearm to the chest of Amare Stoudemire as he attempts to fight through Amare's screen. I realize at first glance it didn't appear like much, and there's no question that Stoudemire is a big strong dude who should be able to take a little shot from Bowen. That's not the point. The angle shown at ...

The NBA Playoff Shakedown Continues...Airplane!-Style [Nba Closer]
Published 4/10/2008 by Leitch at Deadspin
The NBA Closer is written by Matt McHale, who will never get over Nacho Grande! When he's not quoting 80s comedies, you can find him flossing his teeth at Basketbawful. Enjoy! I just want to tell you both good luck. We're all counting on you. And the Suns' two big fellas came through. Amare Stoudemire finished with 21 points on 8-for-13 shooting and Shaq - fresh off his one-game mini-vacation - scored 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds as the Suns went to San Antonio and knocked off the champs, 96-79. The Big Returner had eight of those points in the fourth quarter when the ...

TOP 5 BRUCE BOWEN BLACK BELT MOMENTS
Published 4/10/2008 by World of Isaac at The World of Isaac
Bruce Bowen struck again tonight. Though, this is more of a love tap than anything else, it will add to his growing legend. But I wonder, when is the NBA going to realize that Bruce Bowen isn't playing for his contract but rather for a black belt. Because at the Cobra Kai Dojo where Bowen trains, his sensei demands that of him.... ...

Ballin’: Those Enigmatic Phoenix Suns
Published 4/10/2008 by TheBigLead at The Big Lead
Phoenix 96, San Antonio 79: How can the Spurs still be the favorites in the West if they can’t crack 80 points in three consecutive games against top teams the West (two losses)? And if these two meet in the postseason, how hot will it get between Amare and Bruce Bowen, who had another brief encounter last night? How’d the Suns dominate this fourth quarter (24-11) on the road, when the Mavs owned them Sunday in Phoenix?

Bruce Bowen and Amare Stoudemire Will Never Get Along
Published 4/10/2008 at FanIQ Blog
Phoenix and San Antonio are already in playoff form, although the Suns much more so than the Spurs. This may stun you, but Bruce Bowen was up to his typical self last night, sticking Amare Stoudemire with an deliberate elbow on a screen. Legal? Mostly. Dirty? Entirely. This will never end. You likely remember the numerous instances of Bruce Bowen attempt to trip Amare last postseason. All we can hope for is another rematch this month. In more important news the Suns rolled over the Spurs 96-79. Current Western Conference Playoff ...

Bruce Bowen: Dirtiest player since John Stockton?
Published 4/11/2008 by Eric at 7 Game Series
So many analysts and bloggers have been talking defense lately. We’re coming up on the playoffs, and the focus is starting to shift from Lebron and Kobe’s 40 point games to good lock down defense and winning. John Hollinger’s All-Defense article today had his picks for his All-Defense team. I was happy to see Shane Battier getting some run, and almost as happy to see someone edge out Bruce Bowen, the man that may be the dirtiest player in the NBA today. A video posted today on Odenized of Bruce Bowen cheap shotting Amare Stoudemire. As everyone who has any idea who Bruce Bowen knows, this ...

Amare - No Show in Denver

I rewatched Tuesday's game in Denver and as much as it pains me to say it - Amare was a no-show. I went into this game thinking that our best chance to win was to come out hard in the 1st qtr and build a decent lead. The Nuggets are undiscipline and ...
