Have A Great Weekend
Published 1/18/2008 by Mark at Eleven Warriors
Although we’re all Jackets fans, we don’t really cover them because every time we start to, they go on an 8-game skid. However, this goal has earned a spot on the front page. ...

Nash goal, Clearly Cleary, O'Ree
Published 1/18/2008 by Zanstorm at Waiting For Stanley- A Vancouver Canucks-NHL news site
Wow. I didn't see Rick Nash's goal against the Coyotes until just now. It looks like the goal of the year so far. What is it about the Coyotes surrending goals of this magnitude. You may remember Ovechkin's goal that he scored upside down and backwards came against the Coyotes as well. Well, if you missed Nash's goal, here it is: ...

A wierd couple of days around the league
Published 1/19/2008 by President of Bruins Nation at Bruins Nation
Thursday featured close games, and Friday featured blowouts. One of the wierdest two days on the NHL scoreboard I've ever seen. On Friday: Flames 6 Kings 1 Hurricanes 7 Oilers 2 Sabres 10 Thrashers 1 (and on the AHL front, Providence beat Lowell 7-1) On Thursday: Maple Leafs 3 Bruins 2 (SO) Capitals 5 Oilers 4 (12 round SO) Canadiens 3 Thrashers 2 (SO) Red Wings 3 Canucks 2 (SO) and Blue Jackets 4 Coyotes 3 on the amazing Rick Nash goal (shown below) with 22 seconds left in the game.

A Week in the NHL - January 13-19 Ashley Gallant | National Hockey League Jan 20, 09:23 PM | Hype this story! Quote of the Week“Even if you’re the biggest jerk in the world he shouldn’t be hanging in the air and swinging in the wind like this and getting rocks thrown at him in all directions.” Anaheim GM Brian Burke’s opinion of the Toronto organization’s lack of decision regarding the future of GM John Ferguson, Jr. The Dominators Todd Bertuzzi, Right Wing, Anaheim Ducks (4G, 4A, 4 games) Last summer, Bertuzzi was a so-called ‘has been’. Then Brian Burke signed him to a big, fat contract and it seems like the Ducks ...

Amazing Rick Nash Goal Versus Coyotes Video
Rick Nash scores an amazing goal against the Phoenix Coyotes in this video. Nash makes three amazing moves, turning the Coyote defense inside-out and finishes by showing amazing patience with the puck. The key about this goal is that it was Nash’s 3rd point of the night and came with just 0:21 left in a tie game…that is what we call “ clutch “! ...

Rick Nash Gets His Freak On
(c) OnFrozenBlog - http://www.onfrozenblog.com/ - We don’t know if this is a full-on challenge to Alex’s ‘Goal’ (also against Phoenix) or if in fact it might be a clearly superior act of virtuosity. We do know it’s a showcase of sick skill and that you’ll enjoy watching it. Copyright © 2008 On Frozen Blog . This Feed is for personal ...
Coyotes Lose Heart-Breaker to Jackets
The Phoenix Coyotes lost 4-3 last night in Glendale on an amazing goal from Columbus’ Rick Nash with just 2 ticks left on the game clock. It was a bitter pill for Phoenix who themselves had just tied the game after pulling goalie Mikael Tellqvist. The extra Coyote attacker, Martin Hanzal, punched in the goal with assists to Peter Mueller and Shane Doan. A shoving match near the ...

Rick Nash: Goal of the Year so far?
From the Columbus Blue Jackets - Phoenix Coyotes last night, Rick Nash scores a 'Goal of the Year' candidate. Nash's competition so far would be Jonathan Toews goal. I give the nod to Nash.
Blue Jackets-Coyotes: Rick Nash Plays Hero
I'm still speechless. With 21 seconds in 3rd period. With 4 on 4 hockey. With a breakout pass from Michael Peca. With two defensemen draped all over him. Rick Nash scored perhaps the most spectacular goal of the year in the entire NHL. Perhaps the most important goal in Blue Jackets history up to this point. Really, its too good for words and I'll post it in this space once it becomes ...

Rick Nash's Goal of the Year
I'm a few days late here, but what a sick goal by Rick Nash the other night against Phoenix to give the Blue Jackets the lead with just 20 seconds remaining in the game. In basketball, there's a phrase when a player gets dunked on that he's been "posterized". Well, it's 2008 and with the internet technology we have, I've created a new word for "posterized" (I don't think anyone has come up ...
Smitty steals win for Stars
It doesn’t have to be pretty.. it just has to be worth two points. Today was a pretty good example of that. I had my worries about this game from the start.. the Jackets are a solid club and were coming off a big win in Phoenix the previous night.. Rick Nash was playing like the monster on skates that he is.. Freddy Norrena who got the start in goal for the Jackets always plays the ...
Tell Me You Saw This Goal!
It’s not often that we give hockey some love on Sportable. That doesn’t mean, however, that we aren’t still paying attention to it. Check out this goal from Rick Nash against the Coyotes. Goal of the year? How about goal of the 21st century. I still can’t believe what I just saw. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBQArUjP89w
Rick Nash has the NHL's Goal of the Year...so far
I don't really get much of a chance to talk hockey because...well, I really don't have any hockey fans as friends. It really makes me feel like the only guy who still wears jean shorts or jams sometimes. So what usually happens is I just keep it all bottled up until I strap on a wife beater, drink too many High Lifes and just let it out on "Blades of Steel" on the origional Nintendo. ...
Goal of the Century ... so far
Yes, Andrei Kostitsyn scored a beauty last night. But Rick Nash potted one for the ages. Check it out on YouTube and click on a few different versions. At full speed against two good defencemen, forehand to backhand to forehand to backhand, then loses the puck on the goalie's stick check and gets it back off his skate to his forehand. Unbelievable.
Rick Nash Provides Further Evidence That The Shootout Blows [NHL Closer]
The NHL Closer is written by Greg Wyshynski, of The FanHouse and The Fourth Period . He is also the author of Glow Pucks And 10-Cent Beer . If you haven't see Blue Jackets' star Rick Nash scoring the "eye-popping flurry of head fakes, shoulder shimmies and puck dekes" goal of the season thus far, you will after the jump. It's doper than dope, made even more so by virtue of having won ...

NHL: Rick Nash Scores Goal Of The Year
It's not often I get all excited about an NHL play, but Rick Nash does the trick here leaving numerous Coyotes in his wake. That would include the goalie, who had zero chance. Awesome play. Goal of the year?
