louismg Amusing, but they're still down by 5. So isn't that the wrong message to send? -
EthanJaynes I really like this video because it is much more than a mistake. This is Bogut saying, " Hey bud, thanks bud, you da man , no you da man, WASSSUP, Lets win this game cat " All to himself.
The Team Chemistry is sorely lacking. Give your boy a finsky on thew foul line. It is a man law! :-)
The Bucks Have Great Chemistry
Brew Hoop —
Bogut's going it alone for now. Yep, it's been that kind of season: Andrew Bogut makes a free throw, and when no one seems to notice, he dreams up some better teammates for imaginary high-fives. Good times. Bogut was the lone bright spot last night, scoring 27 points, grabbing nine boards and blocking three shots before Marvin Williams' inadvertent rake across the face (no foul called) sent him to the locker room with a bloodied grill. Thanks to Paul and Citizen at RealGM for uploading this; send us an email if you have a better version of it.
Aw, Andy! We'll Be Friends With You!

Seriously, this is one of the saddest things I've ever seen. Somebody high-five the man, for God's sake! All the lonely 7-0, 260 Australian F/Cs. Where do they all come from? Hat Tip: BrewHoop.
Andrew Bogut Has Imaginary Friends
The Sporting Blog —
By Chris Mottram Andrew Bogut, you're still alive! And well, I see. Very good to know. It's been awhile. I lost track of you after you grew bored of dominating the Mountain West. Apparently, you simply faded into the obscurity of Milwaukee. It happens. And wow, nearly a double-double per game ...

Milwaukee center Andrew Bogut led his team with 27 points in just 31 minutes last night, but the woeful Bucks still lost 115-96 in Atlanta, falling to 24-46 and maintaining their stranglehold on last place in the Central Division. But hey, at least the team's camaraderie is high, right? Imaginary high-fives for everyone! [Brew Hoop]
Explaining Bogut's Lack of Friends
FanHouse —
Filed under: Bucks, NBA Videos, MilwaukeeThe following video of Andrew Bogut and his imaginary friends has lit the web ablaze this morning. One man's theory as to why no Bucks want to give Bogey his propers:
Because he threw the entire league under the bus last summer.
Because of resentment. Bogut is literally the only Bucks playing well above expectations this season, and will be one of two guys (with Yi Jianlian) safe from relocation ...

Andrew Bogut Is All Alone
Intentional Foul —
They say the NBA is a team sport but apparently, that doesn’t apply to the Milwaukee Bucks. Take, for instance, this following clip. What we have is Bucks center Andrew Bogut shooting some free throws and after he makes the first one, he does what most free throw shooters do and looks for somebody to slap five with. But what happens when no one is there to return your request for a pound?
Well, let’s see:
I guess you wind up slapping hands with your invisible friends. It’s either that or Bogut was trying to make a point to the rest of his ...

This is either hilarious in that quirky NBA way or sad in that “wow, that Bucks are a mess” way. Where’s the TEAM UNITY GUYS? And THE GRIT? It’s like you guys just got off the playground, that you only care about playing me-first basketball. Overpaid whiners!
It’s the dismal tide. It’s not the one thing. Oh, and Australians are thugs.

Andrew Bogut and Pete Gillen Should Be Friends
FanIQ Blog —
It's not a good sign when you're the No. 1 overall draft pick and people like me occasionally forget you still play basketball.
It appears, his Milwaukee Bucks "teammates" did the same.
Bogut resorted to high-fiving himself at the free throw line last night. That's unfortunate, considering he actually had a very good game (27 points).
If Andrew is looking for a few friends, I think he'd have a willing partner in Pete Gillen. That is, if he's willing to share some of his clothes. ...
Andrew Bogut high fiving himself: He’s forming his own team
Hail Mary Jane —
Some players complain if their teammates ignore them and when you play for a team like the Bucks who haven’t had anything to play for since December, you would probably complain too. Not Andrew Bogut though. He takes matters into his own hands, literally.

So I had an interesting afternoon yesterday. I was sitting here at my desk, minding my own business, when I got an email from a guy I know who knows many things. He’s a good person to know, particularly for a journalist, because he’s plugged in. I’m plugged in too, but to a different outlet. And whenever either of us hears things that can help the other person, we pass the info along.
I know a couple of people like this, and these kind of relationships are key to what I do and what SLAM does. And occasionally, you’ll stumble into some information.
Anyway, yesterday I was ...
Andrew Bogut is crazy, lonely.
Some People's Kids —
If you want to know why the Milwaukee Bucks won't make the playoffs this year look no further than Andrew Bogut's routine after making a free throw. Apparently team chemistry is not the Bucks' strong point. Imaginary friends are not the answer, Andrew.

Me And Andrew Bogut Like Andrew Bogut
ShamSports.com: The world's ugliest NBA website —
A while ago - about two years, to be inexact - I wrote this: .......one of my most extreme pet hates is the hand slapping after a free throw. It seems to lead to nothing but awkwardness. What if the free throw shooter doesn't step forward, leaving himself agonizingly out of reach of the rebounder? They're then both left to slap air. Does one of them make the final push to close the gap? Or do they leave it as an air shot? And is that a good precedent when shooting a free throw? Also, when the players come in from behind and smack the shooter on the arse, he generally is not expecting it. This often leads to them instinctively ...

Brew Hoop hipped me to this video from the Bucks game at Atlanta the other night (of course they lost). Bogut turned in a good effort in a blowout, as he has been doing all season, (avg. 20 and 10, 61% from the field) but as you can see in this clip it looks like the losing and team turmoil may be starting to get to him. ...

It could be worse, Bulls fans. Via Brew Hoop: I originally thought this was pretty funny, but then I remembered Big Sweet (I think) telling me about a friend of his who lives in Milwaukee who almost skipped a semester in college so that the Bucks could pay him to hang out with and just generally be Andrew Bogut's friend. When considered in tandem with this clip, I find Bogut's loneliness and alienation from his teammates almost heart-rending.
Andrew Bogut Appreciates His Imaginary Teammates
MVN Outsider —
Poor Andrew Bogut. Based on this clip, it’s safe to assume that his teammates have abandoned him — indeed, after nailing a free throw, Bogut stuck out his hands to receive high fives from his fellow Bucks, but his teammates were nowhere to be found. Ultimately, the big man resorted to high-fiving several imaginary friends:
Good Lord, I knew things had gotten bad in Milwaukee, but the situation is even worse than I originally thought…Andrew Bogut is forced to pretend that he has the support of his teammates. I’m feeling your pain, Andrew.

The Orlando Magic's "defense" on Chris Bosh: It's not just the 40 points or the 18 rebounds -- 7 of which were nabbed off the offensive glass, by the way -- it's also the fact that he shot a near-perfect 14-for-19 from the field AND went to the line 16 times. Deron won't be playing this game, and neither will Knight. So we'll have Price start with anyone else that can handle the ball be his backup. Lots of AK, Brewer, and CJ. Although, I don't like CJ handling the ball as the PG.
The bucks will be out some players as well, namely Michael Redd. That's fine as he's torched the Jazz in the past.

BREAKING NEWS: Hornets Don’t Hug Enough
Hornets Hype —
OMG! Despair! Bill Simmons thinks the Hornets’ team chemistry is in DIRE PERIL. We should be freaking out. And we should listen to him. Because he has a PhD in these things.
And because, in the second quarter of a road game in which the Hornets had yet to pull away from the Clippers, a 2-11 team, he thought, in his expert opinion, they didn’t look happy enough.

Winning like that against the Grizzlies counts as half-a-win, doesn't it? Don't worry, though - we face them again on January 2nd. I'm sure it'll only take us 1 overtime to put them in the ground.

Hater Tuesday long-standing beef: the post free throw high five.
Fear The Beard —
In the above video, Andrew Bogut of the Milwaukee Bucks is mocking something that has long needed to be mocked: the post free throw high five. I’m not really sure where it started, this whole idea of celebrating–as Chris Rock would say–something that you should be doing. Like paying the rent (high five!). Or going to work on Monday (gimme a pound for that bruh!). But man. Now it’s just a part of the game that won’t go away. But that’s not the worst part of it. The worst? Hold on, let me gather this thought.
