Sean Avery Has A Message To The NHL And You
Published 4/16/2008 by Awful Announcing- at Awful Announcing
I'm still wondering if a ref would have even called a penalty if a Devils player had gone off and just blasted Avery, but I guess we'll never know. Anyway, the stick waving wack job has a new plan. He'll be waving one finger instead of his stick.... ...

Sean Avery Mocks Sean Avery Rule, Offers Camera Middle Finger
Published 4/16/2008 at FanIQ Blog
More Sean Avery shenanigans. I'm really starting to enjoy this guy. Yesterday during practice, Avery and his teammates were having some fun with the NHL's impromptu Sean Avery Rule. What does the Rangers' resident prick think of it? Avery gave the local WNBC cameraman the middle finger salute when he notices he's being filmed mocking his goalie screen on Martin Brodeur. Not exactly the first time a media member has been warmly acknowledged.

The Truman Show on Ice?

Boy, it sure seems like the media can't keep it's collective hands, I mean cameras, off of Sean Avery. Seriously it seems like everything this guy does is recorded and then dissected to the point of absurdity. I can only imagine that pisses him off more. Anyway, this latest bit was reported on by FanHouse earlier today. Cameras apparently caught Avery re-enacting his weekend antics and when he realized it, he threw some birds out. Given all the attention he gets, I think it would be more appropriate for Avery to change his name to Truman Burbank or Britney Spears. The media attention he garners sure seems to equal ...

Playoffs
Published 4/18/2008 by lapyles at Low Percentage Shot
No, not those playoffs, these playoffs. Despite the fact that temperatures are warming in all the states (and provinces) where NHL teams are based, they’re still playing hockey. I was lucky enough to be in Ottawa last year when they made a run at the Cup. I am also lucky enough to not be there this year. The Sens ...

Sean practices 1-finger salute

During practice Tuesday, cameras caught Sean Avery simulating his Martin Brodeur "face guard" by waving his stick. When Avery realized he was "caught," he shot his middle finger in the direction of the Ch. 4 camera and mouthed something.

Analyzing Avery's Actions

Avery is Claude Lemieux, Ken Linesman, Keith Acton, and every other agitator that has ever graced our game. He's no better at what he does than any of the aforementioned players. My arguement is that of players of this ilk, Lemieux was probably the best at both being a good player and and the extreme agitator.
