It happened: Barry Bonds is officially the new home run king after breaking Hank Aaron's home run record with his 756th homer on Tuesday night. Neither commissioner Bud Selig nor Aaron was there to see history made in person, but Aaron broke his silence on Bonds' pursuit by surprisingly offering up a congratulatory message on the AT&T Park video screen.
