Wow. This is why we love MLS. Weekends like this one are what make the league compelling to watch. First up we have the incredible come back from behind (twice) victory of an embattled DC United side and even better than that, someone sent us a video which features not only game highlights but starts with a Barra Brava remake of this Bank of Montreal commercial featuring actors dressed as Toronto FC Supporters. If you were wondering whether Becks was having an impact on MLS, wonder no more. After missing most of the campaign last year with injuries, Beckham has played in every MLS game the Galaxy have had this season and has easily been the most consistent player on the squad. (Landon Donovan has been more spectacular, but hasn’t brought it the way Beckham has night-in-night-out.) Beckham is second in the league in assists (He has 5 which puts him 1 behind Donovan) and has totaled four goals in 9 games - impressive numbers for a winger in any league. The victory marked the first time this year the Galaxy have put together back-to-back victories. David Beckham rounded off the triumph with a 70-yard shot into an empty net. Edson Buddle had given the LA Galaxy the lead in the 74th minute, slotting home a low shot off a feed from Donovan. Claudio "el Piojo" Lopez had opened the scoring for the Kansas City team in the 40th minute, and Landon Donovan equalized with a penalty in the 54th after he was brought down by Tyson Wahl.

Football fans, many of you probably have seen David Beckham’s 60 to 70m yarder against Kansas City Wizards yesterday. The Galaxy won the game 3-1 and Beckham’s goal was scored in the injury time and was nothing more than an insurance-goal, nonetheless it was an amazing shot. Click here or on the photo to see it.

LA Galaxy may have paid and arm and a leg to get David Beckham on their squad but it’s times like this that make it worth it. During Saturdays matchup against the Kansas City Wizards, David Beckham rips a 70 Yard Goal that pretty much sealed the deal on the game. That helps the cause.

I somehow missed this Beckham goal from Saturday because, you know, it happened in MLS. As you can probably guess, MLS is somewhere between curling and pro alligator wrestling on my list of favorite sports things to watch, so the fact that I'm posting on this at all is some sort on minor miracle.
But anyway, here's Becks showing that even though he can't hang in Europe anymore, he's still 10 times better than anyone we've got here in the states. Kansas City's goalie decided to come up during stoppage time to get an extra guy in the box for one last corner kick. It didn't work out so well.

I have no idea why you would ever take your goalie out in Soccer, but doing so brought us this Beckham highlight from late Saturday night.... I've seen players do that before with a goalie in net but that's still pretty impressive.

You might not know it, but David Beckham is still playing in the MLS. And despite the lack of a "Beckham Cam" this season, he's doing quite well: he's tied for 4th in the league with four goals and is tied for 2nd with five assists. And I doubt they keep stats for it, but he's probably leading the MLS in 60-yard goals, too ...

Another month down here in Major League Soccer, but yes I know there is still one day left on the calendar with games on it. But for the most part this list is basically going to be fine no matter what happens tomorrow.
