Shaun Rogers, All 340 Pounds, Rumble 66 Yards for the Touchdown and Selvin Young Is NOT Getting in the Way

It wasn't exactly as graceful as Adrian Peterson dancing across the MetroDome turf, but big, BIG Shaun Rogers 66 yard interception return for a touchdown might be the highlight of the weekend. Complete with a big meaty stiff arm of Selvin Young. When a big fella is that close to the end, nobody is getting in his way.
BTW, I guess the Lions are really good this year.

Being a reporter is a tough job. When you're reporting live, you just never know what might . . . hit you. Especially when it comes to horses(Horse racing may be an activity, but that's for another time).MYSM #2 comes from Sunday's meeting between the Detroit Lions and Denver ...

... touchdown in Detroit's 44-7 demolition of the Broncos Sunday:My favorite thing about the play is the way Rogers stiff-arms Broncos running back Selvin Young (who showed great hustle in getting down there) before crossing the goal line. Keep in mind, Young is listed at 207 pounds. He's not a small man. But next to Rogers he looks like a kid dressed up as a football player for Halloween.(Video previously seen at Ballhype and Fan IQ Blog.) Permalink | Email ...

Short order cook Patrick Ramsey: Order number 92!Shaun Rogers: Oooooh, that's mine![intercepts pass]Shaun Rogers: What the fuck? Where're my caramelized onions? This creamed spinach has too much spinach. You call this cornbread? These sweet potato bacon strips got the extra fat stripped off. Man, I asked for double meat on this bitch! And they totally gypped me on the fries.Boss Bailey: You need to take that shit back.Shaun Rogers: Fuck yeah, I do.Short order ...

First off, I lost my lock of the year. Good news is that I don't have to post my mom's cell phone number since I said I guaranteed the Pats would win, without mentioning covering the spread. So, what was the most memorable moment of this weekend? Was it ESPN Commentator Pam Ward calling the Northwestern football team the "Cardiac Cats" moments after their coach's widow was interviewed by the same network (whose husband died suddenly of a heart attack last year)? Maybe it was Antonio Cromarte returning a missed FG from 57 yards out for a 109-yard TD (afterwards, Minnesota K Rian Longwell blamed the missed FG on a "K ball" being ...

I just felt the day wouldn't be complete without posting the clip of what some are calling the best stiff-arm EVER...By a defensive lineman, anyway. It also seemed fitting to link to Eno's post, pondering why Shaun Rogers doesn't want, nor care to be, a Detroit icon. ...

Play of the Week: Broncos v. Shaun Rogers
Predominantly Orange | A Denver Broncos Blog —
Take a look at BIG defensive end, Shaun Rogers . He makes like Champ Bailey , snatching the ball out of the air, and then thunders 66 yards down the field for a score. The video doesn’t show it, but I think that 98 lb. referee that was running beside Rogers got across the goaline before he did. Broncos running back, Selvin Young , took a hard stiff arm at the end of the play that probably simulated running into a brick wall. Referring to the celebration after the play, Rogers said, “I wasn’t hearing anything, I wanted to get some oxygen. It seemed like the longest walk of the day.”

-Link of the week. “I soon won the respect of my opponents. They learned that I could take it and dish it out, and I didn’t really have to play dirty ball to hold my own. Speed was my greatest asset, but I could unleash a pretty solid forearm block and a rather devastating tackle.” -Fuzzy and I were once again in attandance for a Miguel Cotto victory at MSG -Stiff arm of the month: From the Nov. 3rd battle between the Lions and the Broncos -Stephon Marbury went missing and David Lee joined ...
