For the sake of this post, we’re going to put aside our feelings about
(A) the disconcerting AL East rise of the once-wimpy Tampa Bay Rays;
(B) the equally disconcerting fact that the team is no longer the “Devil” Rays, even though it’s a slight against one of our fave ocean dwellers;
(C) the envy-generating luck of any kid who gets to be a ballboy or ballgirl for the MLB.
