Home video: Another view of Pierce airmailing the opening pitch
Published 6/21/2008 by Dan Lamothe, Red Sox Monster at Red Sox Monster - MassLive.com
It comes as no surprise that there would be Red Sox fans in the stands wielding video cameras with the world champion Boston Celtics at Fenway Park last night . Which, you know, could perpetuate Paul Pierce's suave airmailing of Jason Varitek during an attempted opening pitch. This footage is priceless, especially since Pierce's throw is preceded by such a raucous "MVP" chant: Ooooh. Man, that's kinda embarassing. Somehow, though, I'm pretty sure Pierce is living it down juuuust fine.

Paul’s First Pitch
Published 6/21/2008 by redsarmy at RedsArmy.com: The Voice Of Celtics Fans

Boston Celtics Honored Before Red Sox Game

Not even a little bit of a rain storm could drench the Boston Celtics celebration tonight at Fenway Park as the duck boats came rolling onto the field to Queen’s “We Are The Champions”. Of course, the Boston Red Sox fans assembled stayed in their seats for the entire first part of the celebration ignoring the rain showers as well.

Paul Pierce Throws Out The First Pitch at Fenway Park
I didn't find a video of the entire celebration, which was unfortunate. And I have to say I was impressed. As the Celtics drove around the field in duck boats it absolutely poured. And the C's clearly did not care. They were great sports about it all. The video does catch the team sprint to the mound and Paul Pierce's wild pitch. It was the kind of pitch that would have led me to yell, ...

Sox Honor Celtics In Pre-Game Festivities
In the past half-dozen seasons, the City of Boston (really, the entire New England region) has been blessed with six professional sports championships — three for the New England Patriots (2002, 2004 and 2005)… two for the Boston Red Sox (2004 and 2007)… and the lastest won earlier this week by the NBA’s most-storied franchise, the Boston Celtics.
