Unranked Boston College Somehow Upsets #1 Ranked North Carolina In Chapel Hill
The Critical Fanatic —
When Tyrese Rice is hot, he's as good as anyone in college basketball. And when Tyrese Rice is hot, Boston College has a pretty good chance to beat anybody.
And by anybody, I even mean unbeatable No. 1 North Carolina.
Tyrese Rice scored 25 points and got 22 points of help from Rakin Sanders as Boston College stunned the top ranked Tar Heels, at home no less, 85-78.
BC led at halftime by six and accomplished task number one of beating the Tar Heels. Not containing Tyler Hansbrough, but keeping Ty Lawson under control. UNC's point guard was 3-of-13, limited to just 10 ...

While this will do nothing to inhibit North Carolina from winning their fifth national championship, at least we can sleep easy at night knowing Tyler Hansborough will not be part of something that is “perfection.” Boston College did us all a huge favor and shocked the Heels ...

The March to Madness —
North Carolina might end up winning it all, but the Tar Hells won't have an unblemished record. Boston College, a 23-point underdog, stunned North Carolina, 85-78, in the Dean Dome.
BC GETS A 7 SEED, AND A DATE WITH USC
The #1 Source for New England Sports Opinions and Propaganda... —
I was expecting Boston College to get an 8 or 9 seed, so this is a nice little surprise. BC will travel to Minneapolis for the opening round, and will face 10th seeded Southern Cal. BC is in the Midwest Region (Indianapolis), and if they can beat USC, will play either Michigan State or Robert Morris. USC was 21-12, and surprisingly won the Pac-10 tournament. They were 5th in their Conference, so this is a solid 1st round selection for BC. They should beat this team. Michigan State is tough, but BC is fortunate not to have to face a 1 seed in the 2nd round. The only other "New England" ...
