I can think of plenty of reasons why someone would record themselves and then post it on YouTube: They’re vain; they’re “having a laugh”; they’re auditioning for America’s Funniest Home Videos; or they’re from the Midwest and it’s Saturday. Those are the familiar reasons. But why would a teenage kid sit on his couch and read the box score from Friday’s Blue Jays/Red Sox game, while intermittently looking off camera, acting like someone’s holding a gun to his head? ...

Tough weekend for the Boston Red Sox as they were swept by the Toronto Blue Jays. The story of the weekend was not return of Josh Beckett yesterday but rather the anemic bullpen, who struggled for the most part. There were a few bright spots in the bullpen, Julian Tavarez, Hideki Okajima and Jonathan Papelbon, although the latter two were used to get work in.
