Brandon Jacobs Runs Over LaRon Landry During New York Giants 16-7 Win Over Washington Redskins
Published 9/5/2008 at FanIQ Blog
I don't know what Tom Coughlin's thoughts were on Brandon Jacobs entering this season, but I do know that certain members of the media were suggesting that perhaps the Giants should start to wean Jacobs from being the team's primary featured back.
Why in God's name you'd want to take carries away from a guy who averaged 5 yards per carry last season is beyond me, even though Jacobs missed five games due to injury. I guess the knock on Jacobs is that he sometimes gets too cute and doesn't stick his head down and use his noggin to knock guys over. Again, why people were saying this about a ...
Brandon Jacobs Runs Over LaRon Landry

I just love Brandon Jacobs — the guy is such a bruiser. Honestly, is there anything better than watching this guy run the football? He’s as big as all the lineman in the huddle, towers over the receivers and even his lead blocker, yet he’s the guy toting the pill. He’s bigger than half the guys trying to tackle him! There’s no way this guy should be a running back. I feel pity for the defenses that have to face him. Take Redskins safety LaRon Landry for instance. You know he was having some headaches following the punishment he took from Jacobs. Let’s go to the videotape: ...

In case you missed it, the highlight of the opener courtesy of Brandon Jacobs.
It’s either this or Eli somehow sneaking into the end zone for a rushing touchdown.
Other than that, there was nothing to see.

While I was at the US Open watching Andy Roddick blow his opportunity to beat Novak Djokovic; I missed what New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs did to Washington Redskins safety Laron Landry. Steamrolled I believe is what they call it!
I also missed a chance to talk to Brooklyn Decker…she was only 2 feet away from me. Stupid, stupid, stupid!

Random YouTube Magic: Brandon Jacobs Blowing Up LaRon Landry
Published 9/5/2008 at FanHouse
Filed under: Giants, Redskins, NFC East, NFL Video If there was one highlight play in a very lackluster game last night, it was Brandon Jacobs bowling over LaRon Landry. In the first quarter of the Giants 16-7 win over the Redskins, Jacobs got lose a bit and just blew up Landry -- who is known as somewhat of a big hitter himself. Well, Landry isn't going to live this one down for a while. Of course none of the Skins' secondary will be giving him the business. Jacobs also jacked up Fred Smoot and Reed ...

Laron Landry is a great defensive player, and when it is all said and done he will go down as one of the best safety's to play the game. However, on Thursday night he got a wake up call that he will never forget. Brandon Jacobs has proved to be a Redskin killer during his career, and last night he made a ...
Notes From The Meadowlands

The Giants beat the Redskins 16-7 at the home opener last night. I was at the game, and it was a great way to kick off the NFL season. Here are some thoughts:
It was awesome to see the gigantic replica of the Lombardi Trophy on the field when I got to my seats. The crowd went crazy when retired defensive end Michael Strahan came out with the trophy and celebrate. It is great to be on the top of the NFL world!
Plaxico Burress has a new contract and is finally happy and healthy at the same time. Plaxico is going to make $11 million this season guaranteed, which includes a $4.5 million signing bonus. Much of the contract is ...

Nice win for the boys in blue last night. Great opening drive, though Eli sailed a few late and the team sat on their cushion for the entire second half. Also, the Redskins have obviously never played the professional American football before; they didn’t understand time, the didn’t know how to get first ...
Caption Contest: Win TC's new book
Published 9/6/2008 by ETVal at Big Blue View
The other day I promised you guys an opportunity to win a copy of Tom Coughlin's new book, 'A Team To Believe In.' The book details the journey to last season's 2007 Super Bowl title.
Here is what we are going to do. I have five copies to give away, thanks to Random House. Each week we will run a photo caption contest, using one photo from each week's game, until we have given away all five books.
Come up with a caption for the photo I present, and e-mail that caption to BigBlueView@gmail.com. In the subject line, put 'Caption Contest' and the week. So, this week your subject line would be 'Caption Contest, Week ...
