And this SportsCenter anchor (he shall remain nameless because, well, I have no idea what his name is) deserves much respect for this amusing, bizarre, and all around awkward live interview with Chad Johnson last evening: I mean, what didn't this interview have? Trash talking ("My plans are to show up and embarrass everybody that tries to cover me")? Check. Speaking in third person ("The player is not gonna change. Chad has to do what's right for Chad")? Reccess shenanigans at the Marvin R. Lewis Elementary School continue in Cincinnati.
Last night, before Chris Henry said goodbye to his football career, Chad Johnson joined Brian Kenny on Sportscenter and the results ... well, awk-ward. You've likely seen this already because ESPN has only shown in repeatedly all evening and morning. It's still worth listening to again.
Props to Kenny for clearly catching Johnson off guard with several quotes from Marvin Lewis that set him off.

Our preferences in blogs. Love for that scene in The Wire where all McNulty and Bunk say is “fuck.” Saliva. Oh, and one more thing: A giant, throbbing man-love for Chad Johnson, borne from the hope that he will save either of our mediocre NFL franchises from total boredom. At least, that’s how I feel about Chad. The Redskins aren’t nearly as boring as the Bears. (Though we do have Brandon Lloyd now.)
