Video: CB/PR Gordon Suffers Ugly Injury During Packers Game
Vikings Gab —
Vikings cornerback/punt returner Charles Gordon suffered a nasty ankle injury when his leg got stuck under a Packers player while Gordon was returning a punt in the first half of Sunday’s game at Minnesota. As you can see in the video, Gordon’s foot was pointing in the wrong direction once the play had ended.
One’s Ankles Are Not Supposed To Bend That Way
SPORTSbyBROOKS —
We had ourselves another one of “those” moments earlier today in the Packers-Vikings game, the Joe Theismann/Napoleon Kaufman kind of instance where a gruesome replay unfortunately (or fortunately, if you’re sick) catches a closeup of a horrific injury. The victim this time? Vikings return man Charles Gordon and his poor, poor ankle.
(Gordon, during happier times, when both ankles were intact)
The play came in the first half of the game, when Gordon got his ankle caught under a Packers player while getting tackles.

This video begins with an audio clip of, “Now, back to the incredible kung fu mission”. WTF is that?
Oh well, after you figure that out, watch the video of the hyper “external rotation” of the left knee of Minnesota Vikings Charles Gordon. We watched this live and didn’t see the detail that this video possesses. Best enjoyed on empty stomach.

Feet Shouldn't Be Pointing That Way [NFL]

Thanks to PFT who finally found an embeddable video of the gruesome leg injury suffered by the Vikes' Charles Gordon. If you've eaten within the last hour, you may want to pass on this for now. There's no update on Gordon's status, but one could make the assumption after viewing that his season — at the very least — is over. Don't know who set that to music...but dear Lord, man, how about a little taste? Or at least some Pantera... Charles Gordon suffers nasty ankle injury [Pro Football Talk]

Charles Gordon Becomes the Joe Theisman of Punt Returners

by Josh Alper Filed under: Packers, Vikings, NFC North, NFL Injuries, NFL VideoIn the first half of today's 28-27 win over the Packers, the Vikings lost punt returner Charles Gordon to a nasty leg injury. Gordon fielded a Derrick Frost punt and was immediately snowed by Desmond Bishop of the Packers. His ankle got rolled up under Bishop and, well, the lower part of the leg isn't supposed to turn quite as far as Gordon's did. Here's a video, courtesy of Pro Football Talk. A warning, if you're not the sort of person who thought "When Harry Met Sally" was a bit too ...

by Will Carroll This year, as much as any I can remember, quarterbacks are dropping, and with them the fortunes of their teams and fantasy teams everywhere. The NFL has done all they can to protect quarterbacks, teams are scheming to protect them, spending big money on tackles, and still, we have as many quarterback injuries as ever. If all that isn't enough, what more can be done? Is the nature of the game such that teams will need to have better backups? I asked Dr. Ralph Gambardella, the head of the Kerlan-Jobe Clinic, what he thought and he gave the answer many of you wouldn't expect: "Stuff happens." Well, yes, but is there anything we can do to keep the bad ...
