Chauncey Billups vs. Jameer Nelson
ESPN.com - TrueHoop —
TrueHoop reader Ben e-mails about the moment when Chauncey Billups got hurt last night: I'm a little surprised that there isn't any chatter out there whatsoever about the way Chauncey was injured last night. If you look not at Chauncey doing the splits, but at Jameer Nelson's right foot, you can see that their feet got "tangled up." But they wouldn't have been "tangled up" if Nelson's foot had been upright rather than nearly parallel to the ground, with toes pointing toward the baseline bleachers. Do this yourself: Sit on the ground, and try to put your foot at that angle. Unless I'm just particularly inflexible, achieving that angle ...
New Conspiracy Theory: Jameer Nelson Intentionally KO'd Chauncey Billups
Third Quarter Collapse —
Jameer Nelson has not won the respect of Pistons fans.
Some Detroit Bad Boys readers noted in the comments section of last night's game thread that they think Jameer Nelson intentionally took down Chauncey Billups last night. As best I can tell, "Other Matt" was the first person to posit the theory (warning: language). Here's the video, ...

The hamstring injury that Billups suffered in Game 3 at the hands (er, feet) of Jameer Nelson is still restricting him from even walking fast at this point, so we'll have to wait until tip-off to see if Chauncey will be able to run.
It's going to take a lot to keep Billups on the sidelines for a playoff game, because in his mind, even if he isn't 100%, he's able ...
Bruised, Not Broken
Upside and Motor —
Photo from Getty Images/Robert Martinez. The playoffs. It's where stuff like this and this and even this happens. Fouls are harder, players are rougher, and the tension and emotion is higher. When you've got ten tall, athletic guys running around in a confined area while hopped up on testosterone and a guy in a suit on the sidelines telling them to do something about it, someone's going to get hurt. Be it because of over aggressiveness, nerves being wound too tight, or freak accident, the playoffs are the playground of bumps and bruises. We've been lucky to avoid any major injuries this post-season: no plantar ...
