Fresno State freshman bops atomic on hapless Gael.
Fear The Beard — Damn son. You got posterized, mounted, framed and hung on Paul George’s dorm-room wall. Seriously, somebody get the school psychiatrist. Turman

Air George
The March to Madness — Not many people saw this awesome dunk by Fresno State freshman Paul George against St. Mary's because it happened in the middle of the night during ESPN's round-the-clock College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon. George, who stands 6 foot 7, goes up and over St. Mary's Diamon Simpson and Mickey McConnell to throw it down. Matt James of the Fresno Bee writes about George: "At media day, he compared himself to Tracy McGrady, and said it with sincerity. He really does look like a young McGrady, at least in the face and build. Who knew he was talking about basketball, too?"

Fresno State frosh Paul George is dunktacular
The Dagger — Very early Tuesday morning (too early for any human to be awake, as far as I'm concerned) I was recapping Monday night's basketball action, and across my TV flashed a red-and-white specter of dunkness. I turned up the volume, found out it was Fresno State's Paul George, and that in the midst of the Bulldogs' loss to St. Mary's Monday he did something vicious and borderline despicable to a couple of young, innocent defenders: > Oof. Initially, I couldn't find the evidence of the dunk, but there it is, on the internets, right beside this dunk over two hapless, nameless players. Unfortunately that's the extent of his web highlight ...

Introducing Paul George
Intentional Foul — Hi, my name is — chicka, chicka — Paul George. Get used to seeing his name because the Fresno State freshman is just now bursting on to the college basketball scene and with hops like that, this won’t be the last time you hear from him. Did I mention he was only a freshman? Now, some are calling this the Dunk of the Year. I’m not sure if I’m ready to go quite that far yet, seeing how the season is a little over a week old and there’s bound to be a lot of eye-popping flushes. Hell, you never know. Maybe George will outdo himself. I mean, ...

What 24 Hours Of College Hoops On ESPN Taught Us About The Network
AwfulAnnouncing — This post is about a day old, but after staying up until 4am and then getting up at 8am the same day to continue watching the ESPN "Tip Off Marathon", it's taken me a bit to process the overkill. Well overkill isn't really that right term. That would insinuate that I didn't enjoy all of the coverage, which isn't true, so let's use the term "surplus". USA Today's blog, Game On, covered what the "surplus" told us about , but I wanted to look into what it told us about ESPN's College BBall coverage. I mentioned the other day that the games were boring, and outside of an overtime game between Hawaii and Fresno State at 4am and a Stephen ...

Paul George dunks on some white guy naturally trying to take a charge
Sports Crackle Pop — Fresno St Bulldogs’ Paul George has the early lead for dunk of the year after he hammered home a slam right on and over Mickey McConnell of St. Mary’s. Don’t feel bad Mickey as this isn’t the first time he posterized someone. And you guys did win the game! (Video of previous highlight reel dunk after the jump)

Sunday Leftovers: Don't Know About You, But I'm Stuffed [Leftovers]

College Basketball Top 10 Dunks
Ballin' is a Habit — Now that the NBA Draft is over with and the class of 2009 is finally set, I have been unable to get my daily college basketball fix. As a result, I've been spending way too much time on youtube watching and re-watching some of the best highlights from the '08-'09 season. Here the top 10 (plus a few) dunks from this past season. As always, if I've missed one, please post a link in the comments. ...

Where 2009-10 Happens: Reason #16 Why We Love College Basketball
Rush The Court — Shamelessly cribbing from the very clever NBA catch phrase, we here at RTC will present to you the Thirty Reasons We Love College Basketball as we gear up toward the start of the season about three weeks from now.  We’ll be bringing you players to watch for this season and moments to remember from last season, courtesy of the series of dump trucks, wires and effluvia known as YouTube. #16- Where RiDUNKulous Happens

Five high-fliers destined for highlight reels
Beyond the Arc — It’s amazing how a dunk can change a game. After all, it’s just two points. Dunks usually aren’t game-winning shots and sometimes require only minimum effort to perform. If pretty much every player in college basketball can throw down a dunk, how special can they be, anyway? Well, sometimes ...

The West Coast's Best Dunkers
Storming The Floor — As home to Boeing (well, not anymore) the West Coast should specialize in high-flying machines. Here are a few of the names you'll probably see on SportsCenter this year. Paul George, Fresno St. The 6'7", 190 lb. George isn't just a phenomenal dunker, he's a potential top-ten NBA pick. For now, he's using his NBA athleticism against mid-major conference guards, which really isn't fair. Here, George soars over a St. Mary's guard (not Patty Mills). Sacramento State was 2-27 last year, but George's dunk over two Hornets was their greatest ...

Cooler Than You: Some Of The Best Of College Basketball
Rush The Court — Just about anyone can name the best teams in college basketball, and, as far as individual players, if you’re reading this site you can most likely reel off three or four of your own personal All-America teams.  But what about those individuals who specifically excel at a few of the more exciting aspects of the game?  There are certain plays that make everyone come out of their seats:  a massive and powerful dunk that liberates some poor defender of his pride;  a ridiculously long three-pointer, especially at crunch time; and a blocked shot where the ball goes into orbit.  And of course everyone loves basketball players with cool names.  So here ...

2009-2010 College Basektball Season Preview: Best Dunkers
Ballin' is a Habit — There aren't too many things that will fire up a crowd more than an electrifying dunk. The momentum of a game can change on just one outlet pass that turns into a thunderous slam.
