What Not To Do With A Championship Trophy [Woops]
Deadspin —
This has been around a while now, but we just got back, and we can't stop giggling. Congratulations, Spokane Chiefs!.
Yep, the Chiefs won their Canadian Hockey League title and then promptly dropped and broke the trophy. They were booed for it, but man, if this ever happens to the Stanley Cup, fans will tear the place apart. (Lil Jon will be first in line.) We've always wondered when something like this would happened. It's as breathtaking as we might have hoped.

Hey, We Won... The TROPHY!!
Sports Bastards —
Don't worry, that's not the real Canadian Hockey League trophy Bruton from the Spokane Chiefs dropped. The real trophy is in the Hockey Hall of Fame, while this was just a replica. Still, you'd think they'd make their replica trophy a little bit better so the cup part didn't disconnect from the base so easily and thus make this poor bum look like he broke the trophy. Then again, it's not like that trophy is as expensive as the NCAA's National Championship Football (made of Waterford crystal) broken by the Florida Gators.

I'm all for the NHL becoming more popular everywhere, but you still have to admit this video is amusing. ...

SPORTSbyBROOKS —
In his 24 years in the NHL, Red Wings defenseman Chris Chelios (not pictured) has won the Stanley Cup three times. Hayden Panettiere Stanley Cup At this point, you’d think he’d know how to carry it. Not so, says SI.COM : NHL spokeswoman Bernadette Mansur says Saturday the Cup got a slight dent Friday after some players took the trophy to Cheli’s Chili Bar, a downtown restaurant owned by Red Wings defenseman Chris Chelios. Mansur says the dent was smoothed out, and the trophy was expected to keep making the rounds. Of course it is. That trophy is hockey-tough. Tougher than this crappy trophy , anyway:
