Danica Patrick Hits Crew Member In Pit Lane
Published 5/10/2008 at FanIQ Blog
Danica Patrick doesn't need to draw any more attention to herself heading into the Indianapolis 500 than she'll already have. Whether it's her fault or not, she's already a big hit during practice sessions. During Friday's practice runs, Patrick drilled Chuck Buckman, a crewman of Marco Andretti, and as you can see above it was quite a nasty blow. According to the recent reports, Mr. Buckman only suffered a concussions and abrasions to his scalp and face. Safe to say he's quite fortunate. “I really don’t remember how it happened,” Buckman said in a ...

Here She Comes, Here Comes Speed Racer [Sweep The Leg]
Published 5/10/2008 by Christmas Ape at Deadspin
Quite a messy day of Indy 500 practice yesterday, with Danica Patrick's car clipping Dale Coyne Racing crewman Charles Buckman and sending him to the hospital with a concussion. Meanwhile, rookie driver Alex Lloyd hit a wall at 223 mph during a practice run and Mario Dominguez got in a minor wreck tapped the inside wall of the warm-up lane. Also, my Micro Machines sets continue to collect dust at my parents' house. A sad day for racing all around. Gotta like how quickly and emphatically the commentator springs to Danica's defense. "One of our correspondents has told us she is in no ...

IRL hottie and interview rambler Danica Patrick hit a pit crewman—no, not her own—in yesterday’s Indy 500 practice. Expect every late-night talk show host on the air and a whole lotta blogs to make jokes about women drivers now. But can you blame them? Check it out (46s): ...

DANICA PATRICK RAN SOMEONE OVER
Published 5/12/2008 at With Leather
Indy Car racing star Danica Patrick is a woman, and women are notoriously inattentive drivers.  That's what makes her hitting crew member Chuck Buckman on Friday afternoon during practice for the Indy 500 so hilarious.  She was probably using the rearview mirrow to check her lipstick!  Because women often do that, you see. Buckman stumbled and his left leg was clipped by her left front tire, knocking him in the air. His head then hit her rear tire before he hit the ground. Buckman suffered a concussion, scalp and facial abrasions but was awake and alert Friday night ...
