We might have gotten off to a slow start on Thursday, but the Friday upsets, Saturday's overtime thriller, and that 45 minute stretch Sunday afternoon where three games were all within three points certainly made up for it. A breather is greatly needed.

Who said it was a down year? Give me 10 games of the caliber listed below and I’ll be fine if the other 54 are snoozers.
I do run a bracket pool every year, and in the final e-mail I compile this list, so I’m quite happy to have another outlet to share my opinion on the matter. First the collapse against Davidson, and sophomore jumping jack/center Vernon Macklin, pegged as perhaps a starter next year, transfers to Florida. And now, Jeremiah Rivers, another nice role player who could have been a starter this season, is transferring to Indiana. What’s going on with John Thompson’s program? We thought the Hoyas would be a Top 10 team next year, but factor in these two losses, plus the graduation of starters Patrick Ewing, Roy Hibbert and Jon Wallace, and the Hoyas dip from a top three or four NCAA seed to probably seventh or eighth.
