Puck Headlines: What did Therrien mean by 'it's Sidney's team'?
Puck Daddy —
Here are your Weekend Puck Headlines: A glorious collection of news and views collected from the greatest blogosphere in sports and the few, the proud, the mainstream hockey media. • Plenty of Sidney Crosby talk today, but we begin with a strange, cryptic comment from Pittsburgh Penguins Coach Michel Therrien. In last night's postgame press conference, after a 7-3 loss to the Maple Leafs, Therrien said "it was a bad game by everyone involved" before later saying "It's Sidney's team" -- the last thing he uttered before he walked away from the ...

We regret the error in our own game of hockey blogosphere telephone, and have altered the ...

Record: 27-5-4
Leading scorer: Marc Savard 11G, 32A, 43 pts, David Krejci (13G, 26A, 39pts)

Tim Thomas (15-3-3) and Manny Fernandez (12-2-1) make up for the league's best one-two combo between the pipes. Factor in Marc Savard and the recent surge of David Krejci and you have the formula for a first place team.
But hey, the Penguins beat them in a 2-1 shootout back on October ...
Minus-1 To TSN For Photo Choice
Canes Country —
TSN has a story today about the NHL's general managers deciding against implementing a "shot to the head" rule. While Patrice Bergeron may be the unfortunate poster boy for head injuries, the chosen photo was not the result of a questionable headshot.
How do we know? Well, the photo was taken following a collision between Carolina's Dennis Seidenberg and Bergeron in late December, with the Bruins' forward initiating the contact. Here's the clip:
