Bei solch einem sensiblen Thema sollte man eigentlich abwarten, bis eine genaue Diagnose abgegeben wurde, jedenfalls hat sich Dirk Nowitzki gestern Abend beim Stand von 54-55 (noch 3:19 min zu spielen im dritten Viertel) im Heimspiel seiner Mavericks bei den San Antonio Spurs schwer verletzt und zwar am linken Bein und musste unter Mithilfe zweier Teamkameraden vom Spielfeld gebracht werden. In case you were out of the sports loop on Easter Sunday, Mavs F Dirk Nowitzki was injured while blocking an Ime Udoka dunk attempt against the Spurs on Sunday afternoon. It looks pretty gruesome; if you haven’t seen it, here’s the video: Obviously the Mavs will wait a day or two to determine the seriousness of the injury, but it certainly doesn’t look very good. The early reports are that Dirk will miss something in the ballpark of 2 weeks, but I wouldn’t be shocked if it ended up being longer.
