They're going crazy in Manhattan, Kan. ... so crazy that they're murdering sideline reporters.

The job of the sideline reporter is to, um, report, and talk to coaches as they angrily try to march to the locker room at halftime, and to give breathless injury updates throughout the game. But most of all, the job of the sideline reporter is to do “funny” interactive stuff with fans and athlete family members. This can occasionally veer into airborne couch-sitting. The results, as you’ll see above, are uniformly awesome. {HT: Joe Sports Fan} Tags: Couch sitting, Sideline reporters

But it’s still awesome and in need of posting here: Kansas State fans killing poor sports reporter Jim Knox. As always, it’s the repetition making it funnier with each viewing. That and the fact that there’s no information on whether he’s ok or not. Jim Knox, fine! Jim Knox, dead at the age of something-something! Either way, man fall down go AAAAAGGGGHHHH!!! Dennis ...

FSN's Jim Knox Falls Off Couch in This Poorly Executed Stunt
Published 11/19/2007 at FanIQ Blog
Not sure who thought it was a good idea to entrust Jim Knox's well-being into the hands of drunk college students, but I'd like to thank them for this amusing clip. Almost as good an idea as eating the world's hottest pepper. Can you imagine the care and safety these Kansas State students would have taken if Erin Andrews were crowd surfing? Then again, they'd have probably just used their hands and I think we know how that would turn out.

Romo’s ride 1 year after it began … Entering his second Thanksgiving Day game as the starter, Romo leads the NFC with 27 touchdown passes and is just two off tying White's Cowboys season team record set 24 years ago. He is the NFC's highest rated passer (105.6) and has thrown for 2,848 yards, second in the conference to Green Bay's Brett Favre. "He's been great in practice, and it's really carried over to the games," backup quarterback Brad Johnson said. "With this many weapons, it takes the group. It takes the quarterback. It takes the line. You have everybody. That's what happens in ...

Baseball off-season is awesome. Why? When teams overpay for free agents. **** No doubt, the guy sucks in the post-season, but A-Rod is about as good as it gets for 162 games. I worry that we criticize him too much for being an asshole not to enjoy his talent. **** Nothing says "college" like undergrads breathing their last breaths beneath a pile of logs. **** Torii Hunter and the Texas Rangers are talking. I think they're on the brink of a contract. I got a feeling. **** The best news for the Rangers today: The ...

Sunday Afternoon Quarterback: Giving Thanks to Darren McFadden
Published 11/28/2007 by David Williams at Bleacher Report
I couldn’t believe my eyes as I saw Arkansas’s 2007 version of the Wing T Offense dismantle one of the best defenses in the country en route to the Razorbacks upset of the previously top-ranked LSU Tigers.  Not only were stud running backs Darren McFadden and Felix Jones decimating the LSU front 4, but even fullback Peyton Hillis got in on the action.  In modern big time football, you don’t always see the fullback “scampering” for a 65 yard touchdown run on a fullback draw.    ...

Ohio State takes down Michigan for sixth time in seven years

Jim Tressel got the best of Lloyd Carr again, maybe for the last time. Tressel became the first Ohio State coach to beat Michigan six times in seven years, and the seventh-ranked Buckeyes' 14-3 victory Saturday over their archrival gave them consecutive outright Big Ten titles for the first time in a half-century. Chris Wells ran for a career-high 222 yards and two touchdowns and Vernon ...
