Brian Westbrook is a football player!
Published 12/17/2007 by nflguru9@gmail.com (The NFL Guru) at The NFL Guru
Do you believe this guy? I mean who else in the NFL would have forgone a TD to guarantee a victory for their team by running out the clock. Being the Cowboys fan that I am, I actually stopped crying for a minute after the play just to give a clap to Westbrook who has just gained a ton of respect in my book. Props to him, check out the play! ...

It Was Jon Runyan Who Told Brian Westbrook to Take a Knee
Published 12/18/2007 by Sportz Assassin at FanHouse
Filed under: Eagles, NFC East, Philadelphia In offices, factories and other places where men gather, a lot of the talk on Monday was the Eagles Brian Westbrook taking a knee at the one yard line. Westbrook easily could have scored a TD and given the Philadelphia Eagles a 17-6 lead ... and probably the win. Not just a win ... but a playoff win. Why would he do such a ...

Published 12/19/2007 by Michael David Smith at FanHouse
Filed under: Cowboys, Eagles, Dallas, PhiladelphiaEagles running back Brian Westbrook has been universally praised (well, except by people who have him on their fantasy football teams) for this heads-up play, on which he intentionally went down at the 1-yard line to keep the clock running late in Philadelphia's win at Dallas, rather than running into the end zone: But William Krasker of FootballCommentary.com notes that in reality, Westbrook's play (which was planned by offensive lineman Jon Runyan) wasn't quite as smart as it's made out to be. In fact, if ...

The Current State of Philadelphia Sports
Published 5/14/2008 by PotsNPans (noreply@blogger.com) at Poor Sports: Bitter Philly Sports Fans Sound Off
... The Eagles had a down year last year, but only missed the playoffs by one game. Expectations are much higher for 2008 - thanks to a fully healthy McNabb and the signing of Asante Samuel. Brian Westbrook of the Eagles had a fantastic year statistically in 2007, but really made his mark when he took a knee on the 1 yard line against the rival Cowboys. That kind of selflessness will always be loved in this city. ...
