Michael Beasley's Draft Prep
ESPN.com - TrueHoop — You may have already seen the video below, which is some pretty great access to Michael Beasley's recent private workouts with Coach Dave Adkins. Here's the only thing that I wonder, however: Is three hours maybe just too long to work out? Beasley says in the video that their workouts are never shorter than three hours. That's a long time to work on basketball skills, which are largely anaerobic. I wonder if anyone can sustain the energy level demanded in a 48-minute NBA game for anything close to three hours. There are all kinds of moments on this video, when Beasley is on the court not going hard. In one drill, there is a ...

Unsubstantiated Speculation: Team by Team Draft Rumors & Links
College Basketball by Collegehoops.net — Team by team 2008 Draft links and rumors: 1. Chicago Bulls It's becoming more and more apparent that Chicago will take Rose, even though I don't think they should. Although those ready to put Miami on the clock should be wary that Rose is openly politicking for his hometown team to pick him just a week before the draft. The one thing I don't like is this idea that Rose is a better pick because he acts serious and professional in interviews and Beasley does not. These kids are 19, neither of them are professional. Rose is shy, Beasley is not. Can Rose do his taxes better than Beasley or something? Is Rose more proficient in Excel? ...

The Donte Effect
nunesmagician.blogspot.com 6/18/2008 — While losing a player of Greene's ability cannot be overlooked, I'm one of the many who feel that the SU basketball team will be just fine without him. That said, it may take a while to convince the world at-large that this is the case. ESPN's Andy Katz has just posted his 2nd preseason poll and Syracuse isn't on it. That's curious because, as Mike Waters noted earlier, Syracuse was on his initial
