Video Of Lebron's "Big Announcement"
AwfulAnnouncing —
I mentioned yesterday that Lebron James' big announcement was actually just a new commercial for State Farm, and I wanted to share the video of the spot that I just found on Youtube.... Cute. I'm still bitter at the whole announcement angle, but I guess worse things have been done to consumers over the years. ...

While most of you have probably seen the photos of Lebron James in a Cleveland Browns jersey. The reason why was for this ad campaign by State Farm Insurance for Lebron to become a Cleveland Brown. He lead the Browns to a Super Bowl title in the commercial, Browns fans can dream can't they.

LeBron James Cleveland Browns State Farm Commercial
FanIQ Blog —
You've probably been seeing those LeBron James ads where it says 1.18.09. Well, that's today, and here's the rest of that much hyped ad. It's LeBron as a Cleveland......Brown.
I'm not sure what's more unbelievable about this ad, that LeBron would ever join the Browns, or that the Browns and the Miami Dolphins would ever meet up in the AFC Championship. Probably the latter, by far.
Anyway, LeBron was actually a very good high school football player, and odds are he would have been turned into a tight end or some kind of freak of nature wide receiver had he decided to play football ...

The Love of Sports —
By E. Spencer Kyte Love of Sports Correspondent By the end of the day we’ll know who’s going to battle it out for the Super Bowl. Nearly five months since the season started, chances are slim people would’ve said Arizona or Philadelphia would be repping the NFC. While some may have been touting Pittsburgh, no one had Baltimore on their radar. What makes today’s games so interesting and compelling are the mirroring stories being played out in each conference. The NFC features two teams with “Redemption Song” as the anthem of their quarterbacks. Kurt Warner was supposed to be washed up back when he was in New York, and Donovan McNabb was left for dead ...

... brought the commercial to my attention, and Ballhype provided the video. Honestly, I don’t doubt that James could have been an All-Pro receiver in the NFL. He has incredible speed, quickness, strength, and athleticism. Can you imagine a cornerback covering that beast? Pity the fool … ...

Commercial Review: LeBron knows football
Posted Sports : Basketball —
The Pitchman LeBron James The Product State Farm Insurance The Concept Remember the ubiquitous "Bo Knows" ads from the '80s? Well, now LeBron knows. In his dreams.
Bruce Arthur: I love the idea of LeBron James playing football — 6-foot-8, 265 pounds, fast as a corner, strong as a bull — but the Cleveland Cavaliers star is playing a dangerous game here. The big question facing LeBron James is whether he'll re-sign with Cleveland in 2010. He was born in nearby Akron, Oh., and he understands the pain of Browns fans. If he re-signs ...
Tressel beckons LeBron to the light (of football)
Dr. Saturday —
LeBron James is not having a great week. His Cavaliers trail the Orlando Magic three games to one in the conference finals, and Thursday night's showdown could be their last of the season.
These are the times that try superstars' souls -- or else cause them to reflect on the paths not taken, as Ohio State coach Jim Tressel did today on Dan Patrick's radio show, admitting that he "halfheartedly recruited" James, a high school receiver in Akron, even though there was clearly no hope of keeping the local sensation in pads when millions loomed in the NBA. When LeBron James is an ...
LeBron Gets The Last Laugh (Braylon Edwards)
Intentional Foul —
The Cleveland Browns have found a replacement for the smoldering roster hole left behind by Braylon Edwards’ departure by signing LeBron James has a midseason replacement. Unfortunately, Chansi Stuckey doesn’t quite bring the same skill-set as King James, and he’ll be pushed to the side to make way for James’ immense talent. We have some early footage of LeBron’s workouts for the Browns leading this post.
Meme resurrection aside, LeBron did have a parting shot for Edwards, essentially telling him not to let the door hit him in the ass on the ...
