Western Kentucky's victory last night ensures the presence in the NCAA tournament of the greatest mascot in the history of sports: Western Kentucky's Big Red. The appeal is that I have no idea exactly what Big Red is. It looks like someone was sewing up a mascot costume, got halfway done and just decided to quit and say, "Ah, let's just give him a big red face, a giant mouth, and some eyes and be done with it."
