Welcome to the tournament, Big Red, and God bless you
Published 3/12/2008 at The Dagger
Western Kentucky's victory last night ensures the presence in the NCAA tournament of the greatest mascot in the history of sports: Western Kentucky's Big Red. The appeal is that I have no idea exactly what Big Red is. It looks like someone was sewing up a mascot costume, got halfway done and just decided to quit and say, "Ah, let's just give him a big red face, a giant mouth, and some eyes and be done with it." And yet, despite having no identity and belonging to no particular species, he goes on with his life like everything's normal. Here's Big Red breaking into some guy's dorm and eating his jacket. ...

Usually I’m calm and collected when watching a UCLA game. If they’re losing, I always think they’re going to come back. If they winning, the thought of the Bruins possibly blowing the lead seldom enters my mind. But I’ll admit, I was getting nervous when the 21-point halftime lead got whittled to four, with Darren Collison fouled out and ...

ESPN SportsCenter Commercial with the Western Kentucky Mascot
Published 6/19/2008 by ethanator1088 at NESW Sports, The Best Sports News
ESPN SportsCenter Commercial with the Western Kentucky Mascot. This is a great ESPN Commercial. The Red Thing does not even know what it is, now you want to ask it to use a male or female type rest room system. Maybe that is what a Hill Topper is. It is someone that has to go over the next hill to use the bathroom. I kid because I care. Please enjoy this, ESPN SportsCenter Commercial with the Western Kentucky Mascot.
