Best Save Ever...For Real This Time
Published 5/5/2008 by Navin Vaswani at Sports And The City
Evgeni Nabokov already made the save of the playoffs a few weeks ago. He was at his ridiculous-robbery-best again last night, and I think this one's even better, considering it was overtime and his team was facing elimination. Nabokov's a rude boy.

Turco, Nabokov Game 6 duel one of the best ever
Published 5/5/2008 by henwood at Hockey News & Opinions – Hockey.com
For a while last night today, it looked as though you would be enjoying your morning ham and eggs with Evgeni and Marty. If you are like me, there are stifled yawns and bleary eyes scattered all through the office, but damnit, was it not worth it? To say that was a goaltending duel is like saying Eva Longoria wears awesome shoes. That wasn't a duel as much as wondering which brick wall would crumble first. Breaking down the Stars - Wings Part 1: the next round of Goalie H-O-R-S-E

Since there's an agonizingly long break (Thursday? RAAUGH I can't wait that long!!!) between games, I figure I might as well breakdown the bejesus out of this series. So I'll chop it up into a few digestible chunks, starting with the netminders: Marty Turco vs. Chris Osgood/the rotting corpse of Dominik ...
Monday's three stars: Glove guru edition

No. 1 star: Marc-Andre Fleury, Pittsburgh Penguins
Whether the Pens win this series in seven or the Red Wings get it done in six, this Stanley Cup finals needed a game like this. Triple-overtime battles legitimize championships. Thanks in large part to Fleury, this series has transformed from borderline unwatchable to the type of theater you'd pay twice to get into and still feel like you'd got a bargain. You'll want to find a highlight of Fleury's left toe save that denied Mikael Samuelsson on a 2-on-1. Move over Evgeni Nabokov (video), we have a new stop of the playoffs. He went on from there to ...
