star-telegram.com 12/14/2007 — Cowboys linebacker DeMarcus Ware was fined $12,500 by the NFL for a hit on Detroit quarterback Jon Kitna in the Cowboys’ 28-27 win last week.
With Detroit facing a third-and-8 play on their second possession of the game, Ware was flagged for roughing the passer after picking Kitna up and slamming him to the ground. Kitna completed a 10-yard pass on the play.

detnews.com 12/14/2007 — Dallas linebacker DeMarcus Ware was fined $12,500 by the NFL for unnecessary roughness on a hit on Lions quarterback Jon Kitna in Sunday's Cowboys victory.
Ware lifted Kitna in the air and slammed him to the turf after Kitna had released a pass, which was complete. Ware got a 15-yard penalty on the play.
