Dolan Tells Isiah He's Safe
FanHouse —
Filed under: Knicks, NBA Videos, New York, MSGJudging by reports out of New York and, um, common sense, Isiah Thomas was to be unemployed right about now. Has Zeke escaped? Both the New York Times and Post say yes, with Cablevision boss James Dolan reportedly giving Isiah a personal assurance the coach will stick around for now. Here's Howard Beck of The Times: Despite another woeful performance by the Knicks - accompanied by booming chants of "Fire Isiah" - James L. Dolan, the chairman of Madison Square Garden, ...

nypost.com 12/9/2007 — THE KNICKS, I'm informed, were among three teams who made infertile sign-and-trade proposals to the Cavaliers regarding Anderson Varejao in the dreary days leading up to the Brazilian Bouncer inking a 3-year, $17.35 million offer sheet with the...
Knicks tried for Varejao, but not hard
msn.foxsports.com 12/9/2007 — Because Malik Rose is a former favorite Spurs teammate of Cavs GM Danny Ferry, and his $7.1M salary ($7.6M next season) conformed to the NBA's trade guideline, the Knicks threw his name out there as bait in hopes of getting at least a nibble.
