Flyers Win In Atlanta
Philadelphia Flyers —
A banged-up Philadelphia Flyers team limped into Atlanta on Tuesday night and left like Sherman with a 4-1 victory behind Antero Niittymaki’s 27 saves. Trade-bait, Jeff Carter, led the Orange&Black scoring with 2 goals (13 seconds separated them) which was followed by Scott Hartnell’s one goal and two assists.
The NHL’s problem-child, Steve Downie (Isn’t it ironic that he’s wearing #27?) scored his second NHL career goal to even the score at 1 in the first period. Downie, fresh off another warning from the league on his extra-ciricular activities played on the Mike Richards line.
