Sorry, Pens, But I’m Done With You

When the Cup finals started, I really wasn’t sure who I was going to pull for. I love the energy that Pittsburgh brings to the game, and I was hopeful that it would translate into some new viewers for the NHL. I also respect the tradition that Detroit brings, and despite their attendance issues the past two years, they really are a model franchise in a real hockey city.
I figured Detroit would romp, but I wasn’t sure how I felt about that.
But after watching the Penguins dumb down the finals at the end of Game Two, and watching Gary Roberts cheapshot a guy returning from a concussion, well, Pittsburgh can get bent. ...
GARY ROBERTS MUST HAVE MISSED THAT CLASS IN SCHOOL
The World of Isaac —
I realize Gary is a bit old but I'm pretty sure they still had Human Anatomy clases back in the 60s. And I'm also pretty sure that wasn't his shoulder that hit Johan Franzen.... But then there's the Gary Roberts we saw last night. ...

Here is Matt P. from the Philadelphia Flyers site The 700 Level recalling the 2007-08 Pittsburgh Penguins. "The Penguins were a good hockey team, and good men. They were men who liked the outdoors... and hockey. And as skaters they explored the rinks of Western Pennsylvania, from East Allegheny to the [Vegas] Golden ...
