This Would Not Qualify As a Duke Flop
Published 3/25/2008 by Chris Mottram at Mr. Irrelevant
We previously missed this clip, most likely because it came after the outcome of the Duke-WVU game on Saturday was not longer in question:
That would be freshman Cam Thoroughman intentionally (at least, it appears that way to me) laying out Gerald “The Flying Frog” Henderson. Yes, the same Cam Thoroughman who — when told that Greg Paulus was a McDonald’s All-American after the game — responded with, “Oh my God. Are you kidding?”
The best part, aside from the thud as Henderson hits the floor, is that there wasn’t ...
Gerald Henderson, meet Cam Thoroughman
Published 3/25/2008 at The Dagger
Mister
Irrelevant posted this clip earlier today of Duke's Gerald Henderson eating
some floor, courtesy of West Virginia's Cam Thoroughman. I remember watching as
it happened, but for some reason, it never occurred to me to post it.
You can see #15 Henderson put a pretty good shove into Thoroughman's back as he
waited for a rebound (not
that Gerald Henderson would ever do anything dirty). Paulus's shot drops,
Thoroughman turns to go back down the floor, Henderson's standing in front of
him, and Thoroughman opts to not go around him. He ...
Another Duke Flop Found

I hate to pile on Duke fans but I can't believe no one brought this up over the weekend. Gerald Henderson took a pretty measured cheap shot on a WVU rebounder with the game out of reach and what happened next just blew my mind.... ...
Hero: WVU's Cam Thoroughman Decks Duke's Gerald Henderson
Published 3/25/2008 at FanIQ Blog
Believe it or not, someone here at "world headquarters" doesn't think that Gerald Henderson's hit on Tyler Hansbrough was a cheap shot.
So to you, foolish fellow employee, I present you with this clip of Henderson hitting West Virginia's Cam Thoroughman in the back - a clear cheap shot - during Saturday's Duke suck-a-thon.
I like how Thoroughman responded. He decided to look Henderson face-to-face.....before absolutely decking him.
Just When You Though It Was OK to Like Gerald Henderson

I’m in the midst of putting together quite a few pieces for the newspaper, so I’m a little backed up right now. (I’ll try and be back to my normal schedule by Thursday.) Plus, the left shift button on my laptop is broken, so that’s making things only that much more fun. Anyway, here’s a great video that was over at Awful Announcing, but first popped up at Mister Irrelevant.
Henderson looked like he just blacked out with the way his body fell.
Cam Thoroughman Decks Gerald Henderson: Duke Haters' Favorite Video
Published 3/26/2008 by Michael David Smith at FanHouse
Filed under: Duke Basketball, West Virginia Basketball, NCAA Basketball VideoIf you're a Duke hater, it doesn't get much better than this simple video: (Via Mr. Irrelevant) Late in Duke's loss to West Virginia, the Mountaineers' Cam Thoroughman ran right through the Blue Devils' Gerald Henderson, leaving Henderson flat on his back -- and no foul was called. Some will wonder why Thoroughman didn't get whistled, but considering that Henderson shoved Thoroughman first -- and considering that Duke players have been known to to a wee bit of ...
Duke Takes One Last Flop For The Road [NCAA Tournament]
Published 3/26/2008 by Rick at Deadspin
I don't know if you're aware of this, but it seems that sometimes Duke players take cheap shots, and then flop when there's retaliation! (Sits down in shock, fans self with NCAA Tournament program). We just can't say goodbye to the Blue Devils this season without showing you this, from the fine folks at Awful Announcing.
Watch as Duke's Gerald Henderson runs over to clobber the Mountaineers' Cam Thoroughman from behind. Thoroughman (6-foot-7, 215) doesn't take to that too well, and ... whoa! Did you see that, ref? Air shove!
But we kid Duke. The tournament just would not ...

Make sure you pay attention to the :14 second mark. Freakin’ hilarious. Even in defeat Duke players are “fierce“.
Also good to note that Henderson got what he deserved, the Duke fans need to relax, it’s basketball. I hope we play this hard and mean tomorrow night. It’s March Madness, no room for babies!

Cam Thoroughman puts Gerald Henderson on his ass
Published 3/27/2008 by houroc at SportFiends
Wow. Another disappointing year for the Blue Devil fateful. They haven’t won the NCAA title since 2001 and they’ve made yet another early exit from the tourney after last weeks silly loss to West Virginia.
All Gerald Henderson haters will love this one though. People claim that he is a dirty player, especially after last years incident with Tyler Hansbrough.
Anyway, West Virginia’s Cam Thoroughman didn’t like how Henderson pushed him in the back, whether it was intentional or not and he made sure he let Henderson know, hard. ...
