Hornets 87, Blazers 82 : Oden Gets Comfortable
Bust a Bucket - A Portland Trail Blazers Blog —
Maybe you saw it, maybe you didn't. Tonight something happened. Reminiscent of the Incredible Hulk or some other super hero who begins to find his powers, Greg began to find his. In only about 24 minutes, Greg managed to not only record his first ever double-double, but he added 4 blocks and an intangible presence that I'm sure made a few Hornets players think, "uh oh." I can't even tell you how excited I was to see Greg with that drop step baseline dunk or the ridiculous goal tend block late in the game. I think tomorrow we will see more of the ...
Greg Oden : How you like me now??
A Stern Warning - NBA, NBL and FIBA News & Views —
No, the title isn't a direct quote from Greg Oden, but that's what I hope he is thinking after having his proper coming out party in the NBA versus the New Orleans Hornets last night. Being the humble soul that he is, Oden will likely be most disappointed that the Blazers didn't get the win over the Hornets, but he did have some personally satisfying performances in his 11 point, 11 rebound, 4 block night. The first point of discussion regards the willingness of some to prematurely cast aside the career of Oden, ...
Ballin’: Shaq’s Hard Foul; Oden’s Big Weekend
The Big Lead —
Detroit 86, Phoenix 104: First, view the foul that got Shaq ejected. Now, his quote: “The law of physics states that a body in motion stays in motion. And if you have two objects that meet in the air, the smaller object is going to fall much harder at the same rate of speed it was going. I’ve never been the type of player to take anyone out. I was going for the ball.” Phoenix shot .569 from the field, and .571 from the foul line.
Miami 96, Toronto 107: Seven players scored in double figures, led by Bosh’s 27, and the Raptors dominated the glass (52-35) to win at ...
