Betting on sports is how you learn to hate teams. Toronto just wouldn't die. We lose. How does New Jersey shut down the Pens, but get smoked by Toronto? That is a joke. John Madden can shutdown Crosby, but he lets Matt Stajan poop in his mouth. [JS] Check out Marty Brodeur get jacked at Niklas Hagman for spraying ice ...
Niklas Hagman Channels The Great Muta

This seems like a move Sean Avery would pull. He's definitely dirty enough. I see no reason why the Devils can't retaliate against Avery even though he wasn't in the building. It's probably his fault in some way. The "engaging raconteur" could not have been happy with Hagman's move but The Great Muta would be proud. He was an incredibly underrated wrestler. I'm going to start spitting that powder at anyone who gets in my way whether it be at work or out on the town. "Hey could you stay late. We need ... My eyes! The goggles! They do nothing! My mouth tastes like burning!" ** I had no ...

In the Toronto Maple Leafs' 6-5 shootout win over the New Jersey Devils on Wednesday, Niklas Hagman used a pretty solid tactic against Martin Brodeur in the shootout. Instead of just trying to shoot it past him, Hagman sprayed ice into Brodeur's face, and scored while Marty was blinded by the ice. ...

I don't exactly watch enough hockey to make such a definitive statement, but I'm pretty certain I've never saw this before in the NHL.
Niklas Hagman of the Toronto Maple Leafs sprays ice into Marty Brodeur's face and sneaks in the decisive goal in a shootout victory of the New Jersey Devils.
I agree with With Leather in saying that as far as non-big hit, awesome fight highlights go, this was pretty damn cool.

Here’s a smart way to beat Martin Brodeur during a shootout, blind him with ice and then slip the puck past him. Genius!

On Wednesday night, the Maple Leafs’ Niklas Hagman scored the decisive goal in a shootout with the Devils, and it’s easily the coolest thing I’ve ever seen in a hockey game. Well, the coolest thing that doesn’t involve people punching each other, or Plexiglass shattering, or a skate cutting open someone’s neck.
Hagman scored by using his skates to spray ice shavings in Martin Brodeur’s face as he flicked a backhand home, a maneuver so simple and effective (and dastardly) that I can’t believe I haven’t seen it done before. Although, to be fair, I ...
