Morning YouTubeness: MCGUFFIE!
Published 9/20/2007 by Da Big D at First And 10 Inches
Okay, so it's more like Afternoon YouTubeness, but Sarge's internet connection is in the same place where Britney Spears' life is now - the crapper - and I had to find time to do this up for you fine folks and that time is NOW! So, what did I choose to share with the 10" fans? An excellent mixtape of Michigan recruit Sam McGuffie. Understand, Sarge is a HUGE Ohio State fan, so I chose this to sort of tick him off... he's too happy of a guy if you ask me. In any case, will McGuffie be this good? Probably not... it's a HIGHLIGHT tape afterall, BUT he does play in a serious league in Texas (what league in Texas ISN'T serious?). In any case, enjoy the video. I'm sure Sarge won't and will probably take away my posting priveleges.

The Wolverines Get Rich With Rodriguez
Published 12/18/2007 by Rupert Entwistle at The Ghosts of Wayne Fontes
How did I do? I tried to come up with the absolute worst fake newspaper headline I could think up. Anyway, everyone has heard about the Wolverines lassoing in yet another Mountaineer’s coach. And this time it’s the big steer, Rich Rodriguez. Unfortunately, Zoolander was passed over for the job, again. While Michigan fans are all a twitter with excitement, this is a giant shift for Michigan football and it doesn’t seem to have hit home. The hiring of Rich Rodriguez is undoubtedly a new era at Michigan and I think Big Ten fans will be surprised to find out just how big an impact this will have. Is the end of Michigan ...

HOT ROD:Coach Rodriguez Brings Change to Michigan

The Wolverines couldn’t get a different Carr with Les Miles on it, but they did get a shiny new Hot Rod- replacing their clunky, outdated 1969 AMC Ambassador with a polished, innovative 2008 Cadillac CTS.  Michigan officially ended a long, grueling coaching search on Monday morning, as former West Virginia head football coach Rich Rodriguez was introduced in an Ann Arbor press conference as Michigan’s next head man. The hire is already sending ripples of change throughout the Michigan athletic department in multiple- mostly exciting- ways. Rodriguez ...

Big Ten Blogger Roundtable Is Stealing Your Recruits
Published 2/12/2008 by Maize n Brew Dave at Maize n Brew: Front Page Posts
While everyone gets excited about Signing Day, I've never understood the fascination. A bunch of kids make a decision, or sometimes make up a decision, about where they're going to play football. Big deal. The real excitement starts the day after Signing Day. Seriously. After signing day comes Bitter Recriminations Week! Truly Christmas in February! So lets kick the week off right by letting the accusations of tampering, bribery, theft, and slander fly! Put on your Wizard's cap, sling some dirt on your rival, and evaluate the talent (or lack there of) in your recruiting class. If your class sucks, admit ...

2008 Recruing: Quarterback and Running Back
Published 2/12/2008 by Brian at mgoblog
A disclaimer on the "You May Remember Me From Such Players As": YMRMFSPA is supposed to be a rough estimate of what kind of player the recruit could turn into if he pans out. It is not a projection. The players listed tend to be very good because no one knows what kind of player Doug Dutch is; we just know he can't get on the field. I am not saying that I expect Martavious Odoms to be Devin Hester, the best return man in the history of the NFL. I'm saying that Odoms is sort of like Devin Hester and if we roll a second critical hit on our critical hit roll he might be half as good. ...
