Adolf Hitler pessimistic about Flyers' chances
Puck Daddy — To be honest, the use of Adolf Hitler for either political or comedic effect makes us uncomfortable, unless it somehow involves Mel Brooks. That said, there is some real comedic inspiration on display in the video below, which envisions the Philadelphia Flyers' brain-trust as a Nazi war room dealing with everything from fictional arrests at a Montreal club to overpaying free agents last summer to Canadiens fans pouring beer on Mike Richards in the penalty box. Again, not exactly our mug of Becks, but it's certainly a different take on the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Beware some NSFW language that appears in the ...

The Flyers: A History of Evil in Video Form
Four Habs Fans — Everyone keeps talking about this video and keeps sending it to us (thanks to Montréaliste and Nose Bleed Bob) so we figure we should post it for posterity, despite it being out of date already. I have many jokes about Hitler and Bob Clarke, but they're pretty insensitive to Hitler, so I'll hold my tongue.

A Look Inside The Flyers' Front Office
The Power Play — The Power Play Hockey Blog is proud to bring you an exclusive, in-depth look at the daily operations and workings of the Philadelphia Flyers organization. Warning: Video contains strong language and may not be appropriate for all viewers. Especially not Philly residents. Who am I kidding though? They hear worse things everyday. I'm sure of it, they're from Philly after all! Home to the most vile, foul mouthed goons in all of civilization. With the exception of the residents of Leaf Nation of course. No one is more foul than them. BallHype - A Look Inside ...

Deep Thoughts Vol. 6
Sports And The City — Do you hear that? Over in la belle provence? That's the collective "Uh-Oh" coming from the good folks in Montreal after Carey Price channeled his inner Andrew Raycroft last night in Philadelphia, allowing three goals on only 12 shots. More and more is Price beginning to look like the 20-year-old kid he is. The pressure in the Stanley Cup playoffs is immense and Philadelphia is a tough building to play in. Here's what I wrote back on April 3: "I think, and hope, the Canadiens end up regretting trading (Cristobal) Huet instead of keeping him as insurance for the ...

Flyers take Montreal in 5
Flyers Fan Central — Well, wasn’t that something. And then there was 4, well soon. For once, it wasn’t the Flyers having goalie issues in the playoffs. 3 goals in under 3 minutes in tonights game, oh man. I bet Montreal wish they didn’t take that 2nd round pick for trading away Huet. Looking at Price’s and Huet’s numbers in Montreal they were pretty comparable. To go into the playoffs with a couple rookie goaltenders, wow. Biron was solid. Officiating was awful, again. Jones as I see it is the best player that no one is talking about. Umberger what can you say. Would rather see the Flyers play the Rangers in the conference finals, but I don’t see them coming ...
