On my last season’s preview of the Hornets,
I wrote two sentences that it makes sense to...
remind them right now: “After analyzing the probable starting lineup the preview is clear: if these guys stay healthy, Hornets will make some damage.” and “This season can be Chris Paul’s Prime time in NBA”.

Video: Coach Byron Scott is making money off his shooters
Ball Don't Lie —
A clever YouTube'r spliced together some funny moments from the Hornets training camp and uploaded it for the world to see. The clip runs a little long at over fives minutes, but the content is great — coach Byron Scott making monetary bets with Morris Peterson and Chris Paul on how many threes they can hit. The running commentary, helped along by Peja and Posey, is quite amusing. (via Hoops SA)
Byron Scott Rules With An Iron Fist
The Howeva Files —
Taking a break from watching this video, I stumbled across this on Youtube today. It's a videotaped practice of the New Orleans Hornets, if you could actually call it a "practice". Byron Scott watches Peja, Morris Peterson, and James Posey try to make 40/50 three pointers while he laughs and makes fun of them. Byron makes bets with the players and trash talks like a guy playing Halo against his friends. In my mind, practices for NBA teams were like the basketball practices at my regimented catholic high school: Sprints, running plays, sprints, full-court layup drills, sprints, and then resultant death. Not so much here, as the tone seems to ...

32 Hours of James Posey: Hour 28
Hornets Hype —
While making fun of the corporate-whorish NBA TV/Nike “24 Hours of LeBron” to celebrate LeBron James’ 24th birthday, I jokingly stated that the next Hornet birthday, I’d top that. January 13th is James Posey’s birthday. And I am a woman of my word. Check out the rest of the silliness here.
Because I felt we didn’t have enough Posey-on-the-Hornets content, we now present…
