He sinks the free throw and puts Houston up one with 0.8 ticks left. Game, red blouses, right? Turn off the TV, go to bed and dream about unicorns with machine guns. Um, no. I know it's early, so there's guaranteed to be some contenders, but this is guaranteed to go down as one of (if not the) best ending to an Association game this year. Last season, Brandon Roy was an All-Star mainly to give some representation to the Blazers after their tidy win streak in the early season. I hope you stayed up and watched the Trailblazers/Rockets game last night.
If you didn't you missed the best game thusfar this season. It's funny too because at halftime, Charles Barkley commented on how boring the game was and how he wanted to fall asleep. I don't know if the teams heard that or what but they definitely turned it up later in the game.

Yao was again below average at best last night (13 pts, 4-13 FG, 6 reb, one fewer than Chuck Hayes despite being on the court for 15 extra minutes) but he did almost win the game for the Rockets. I found the TNT postgame criticism of Yao’s inbound defense a little unnecessary. Barkley basically said he was out of position and should have made more of an effort to get in the passing lane, as opposed to standing between inbounder Steve Blake and the rim and trying to prevent a cheap, desperation backside oop. I feel when a dude throws up a perfect 28 foot shot with 0.8 seconds left in overtime, you just have to take in stride and move on. Not much else you can do.
